BABE WAKE UP NEW NO.6 ART JUST DROPPED

so im back after a 5 year hiatus…. who missed me 🤩🙈…..

i just caught up with the reunion novel and it feels genuinely unreal that it’s even here. as i read their kind of… awkward first meeting, i couldn’t even process my full emotion of them seeing each other again. it didn’t hit till after i caught up with it that those two DID just see each other after (2 years for them) but just about 13 years for me.

in those 13 years, i grew into an adult who carried no.6 through middle school, high school, college and then into the work force. i used a passage from the novel as my high school senior quote. i wrote my final about the novel which i print and bound into 2 separate physical books with about 1000 pages each. i’ve leant out my entire manga collection to friends for them to read and get into this series. i’ve walked and grew with nezumi and shion, and the more i grow into an adult the more i can understand asano’s vision and amazing writing. for me, growing up is realizing that shion is absolutely not a soft, cute little boy that people typically see him as- he is one of the most intense, dominate and complex characters ive ever had the chance of meeting through text.

im grateful for asano for allowing me to meet with no.6 again as it will always be my favorite series in my heart. its amazing to come back to this blog and see kami reblog stuff just from a few months ago, she’s really been keeping this blog alive while i was gone. i genuinely thought i lost this account forever but its funny how things turn out…

nevertheless, i still do art! im going back to college for it, i hope when i have time i can maybe doodle some no.6 art again :) its been way too long and i wonder if anyone will read all of this, but i just wanted to say hi and yes im freaking out about the reunion just as much as you are. im so excited to see what asano does for us next 🩷

The way I haven't seen your posts on my feed in forever and to see your post about No. 6 Reunion on my feed first thing today made me so happy. This Reunion is bringing so many of us back and ugh I love it. Can't wait for it to be May!

ahhhh yes it’s a beautiful thing :) I got in the car with my best friend and she goes, “you’ll literally never guess what’s coming back…” and she was right! I have never been more pleasantly surprised. it’s time for another reread to celebrate. i’m glad I could spread the good news. happy reunion!!!
