Noisy dryer? Give us a call. This particular dryer went for so long it also caused damage to the belt, fortunately for the customer we had both on hand https://www.instagram.com/p/CTiFn6rlYC-/?utm_medium=tumblr
What we are looking at is a corroded spanner nut on a whirlpool top load washer. There are many variables but one of the leading causes of this damage is too much laundry detergent. We recommend 2 tablespoons for a large load. (at Manchester, New Hampshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSwhuD8LxYh/?utm_medium=tumblr
PSA if your dryer starts to make a noise it may be a bad idler pulley. This particular one was cut directly in half, luckily this is just one of the many parts we carry on hand (at Southern new Hampshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSt30IjLafc/?utm_medium=tumblr

Laundry Care
We would like to address to you some helpful tips in these troubling times when it comes to proper laundry care for your family as you may be thinking of a ways to keep your family’s clothes clean and sanitary.
We will start with water, we know a lot of customers prefer cold water washes to save on costs however there may be two principle things wrong here. First is water temperature activating your laundry detergent; we know that advancement of tech in detergents can activate enzymes effectively in water temperatures in as low as 60˚ and some as high as 120˚ however we recommend using the warmest temperature allowed by your fabric guide listed on each of your family’s garments and bedding. The other benefit to Hot or Warm water is how it helps with the cleaning process itself. Hot or Warm water will help remove oils that may trap bacteria, It will also help break down stains and other soils. Once again sticking to the fabric care guide is key.
Secondly, laundry detergent plays an important role in the cleaning process. One common mistake we see all the time is the use of too much detergent. It is unfortunately a common myth that more detergent will clean your clothes better, in fact the opposite may be true as an overuse of laundry detergent may trap and encapsulate germs, and odor causing bacteria, along with clinging to the liner and gaskets of your washer. We recommend using only 2 tablespoons of a quality High efficiency detergent like Tide, All, Gain, and Wisk on your H.E. washer.
Lastly, when it comes to care for your washer itself, we continue to express our recommendation for a good washer cleaner like Affresh or even bleach at least once a month. To start a cleaning please open your packet of Affresh or use one cup of bleach (please do not mix) and place directly into your washer tub (with no clothes or laundry detergent) and use the washer cleaning cycle sometimes referred to as Tub Clean and start. If your washer predates a “cleaning cycle” It is still possible, just use the longest and hottest cycle available and add extra rinse if available.
This is the inside of a standard household dryer. Unfortunately, this is also an effect from years of lint and dust build up and something we at N.H. Appliance Madness see all the time. This is why every dryer we fix, including this one, whose rear rollers have worn down, is cleaned with the vacuum we bring before we leave your home.
These are images of washer repairs on the inner spin basket, specifically the carrier. There are many variables to attribute to this problem like water quality, detergent quality, and the amount of detergent used. We recommend using a product called Affresh used once a month. We also recommend reducing the amount of detergent used per wash to help reduce the risk of expensive repairs
