I haven't written fanaccount for years, so I don't know where to start. please bear with my messy fanaccount. first of all, I have been a fan of MYNAME ever since their debut, I consider myself as MyGirl coz i bought all their Korean releases, I can't afford their Japanese releases though. I signed up to their fancafe and even leveled up. so I already planned this trip to Korea since a year ago (meaning i bought the plane ticket since Feb last year). one week before my departure, I saw in twitter and instagram that MYNAME would release their mini album on 12th Feb, and I was like no shit, like finally I could see them in person?! I asked my friend Astrid, a fellow MyGirl from Singapore about that and she confirmed they would have comeback stages on the week I would be in Korea. I planned to try for Inkigayo, coz for this trip we didn't want to spend our holiday only to waste time waiting for music shows, we only wanted to see one music show.
so on friday 13th feb, Astrid kkt-ed me asking if we wanted to go for mucore? I was like no, we planned to visit Nami Island tomorrow. and Astrid was like, can you move your Nami trip to sunday instead, coz they would have a Valentine fanmeeting for MyGirls after mucore. hoshit, I have an important decision to make, coz honestly I can't be selfish to just changing our plan like that. but my friends are just the sweetest and agreed to visit Nami on Sunday instead. after that Astrid told me requirements for mucore :
1. register your name and phone number in fancafe.
2. buy digital title song너무 Very 막 in melon (she even linked English tutorial how to purchase digital in melon for foreigner).
3. bring official fanlight (which I don’t have yet, but she already reserved one from fanstaff for me)
so after our late lunch at Meat-ing, we headed back to our apartment to try buying digital song from melon. I borrowed Heppy’s iPod Touch to register melon and Juju used hers. Juju managed to buy but I didn’t. idk why but I couldn’t purchase the mp3 package using Heppy’s iTunes account (or mine). But later at night, I asked Aya, my friend in Jakarta to login to my melon account and buy the package from her iTunes and it worked.
Around midnight, Astrid told me that she was already at mucore to signed up name again since there was problem with the name list in fancafe and suggested me and Juju to come to mucore tomorrow as early as we could. So we took the first train (5.30am train thank you very much) from Hongdae to DMC station, it’s only 1 stop using Arex, thank God! Imagine if mucore was still in Ilsan, we would take over 1 hour to go there.
We arrived at mucore at 6am and looked around, no sign of fans, well there were few girls stayed overnight and we found out they were MyGirls, so we signed up our names there. We also met Astrid and then fanstaff did check-in at 7am. then Astrid told us another check in will be on 9.40am. so we decided to go back to apartment for a quick nap lol.
We arrived at mucore again around 9.15am and found out the crowds have moved to a café. We followed them there, and finally last check-in, they also checked if we wrote name in fancafe or not (Juju had to move back coz she didn’t join the fancafe), if we bought digital song in melon or not, and if we brought official fanlight or not. They almost moved me back coz I didn’t have my fanlight yet, so Astrid came to the rescue and told the staff that I would buy the fanlight as soon as the other staff brought it there. So I did, it cost me 20.000 won but the fanlight is so big and pretty, so I don’t mind. At the end my number for pre-recording and fanmeeting was A-24, not bad at all. Juju was B-03 and quite pushed back far away from me. But we all got in for pre-recording and fanmeeting, the only difference was the queue number.
We queued in for pre-recording, as we went inside the studio, we got to sit down first coz 4minute was still there and did the last take. Their new song is good and addicting as per usual. Then finally, they told us to move down in front of the stage. I got 2nd row and right in the middle, best spot! After waited for a while (they had to remove the props from 4minute stage earlier), MYNAME finally showed up. OMG finally after over 3 years, I could see them with my own eyes!
All 5 of them are so good looking, but Insoo struck me the most, he’s so much more attractive in person. But ofc I couldn’t stop focusing my sight off Gunwoo, coz hello bias was less than 2 meters away lol. Seyong was really playful, he randomly danced to 4minute song and being silly with JunQ and Chaejin. JunQ is the tallest and Chaejin is the shortest. Chaejin looked like elementary school student with his short pants. Gosh Gunwoo, I swear his eyes were like popped out from its socket most of time. They were being serious when the pre-recording finally started.
I didn’t print the fanchant, but I slowly learned from the loud fanchant other fans did. It was really fun, and after 1 take, Seyong said, “nice!” to us. I felt really proud of myself lol. They did 3 takes overall, and by the end of it, I almost remembered the whole fanchant (not the rap part though). After that we stayed there to watch other pre-recording, like Rubber Soul (ohai Mad Clown), Eddy Kim, Berry Good (they are cute!) and last one was Crush & Zion T.
It was almost lunch time when it was over and we thought we would go for lunch but nope, they got us in queue again and lead us for fanmeeting! Holy, I thought it would be after mucore live not after pre-recording. They told us to sit down and finally MYNAME appeared, but they didn’t stay long as MBC staff didn’t allow them to have fanmeeting near the entrance of the building.
So they lead us to walk to empty road, we passed by Neil fanmeeting on the way, wow that was a large crowd he had over there, maybe more than 300 fans? We were less than 200 fans I guess. When we finally reached our spot, they told us to sit down again. And finally MYNAME showed up again and fanmeeting resumed. They told us to take down our camera and they started distributing chocolates for us. I waited patiently until Gunwoo came to my direction (I was on 2nd row on left side). I raised my hand and he gave the chocolate to me ;~~~; huhu finally valentine choco handed by my bias ;~~~;
Then they started talking. I only know very basic Korean, so I didn’t understand most of it. They asked if we liked 너무 Very 막? About MV and finally asked about foreigner fans, I heard Seyong (if I’m not mistaken) mentioned Japan, Singapore, Hongkong, China, so I raised my hand and shouted, ‘INDONESIA!” All 5 of them turned their heads and looked to me, I felt so embarrassed! Insoo was like, “wow Indonesia?” I just nodded excitedly. Seyong started asking something to me but I didn’t understand (damn Astrid why you are so far away from me). The k-fan next to me said, “Arigatou.” So I assumed he asked how to say thank you in bahasa Indonesia, so I just said, “Terima Kasih”, he went on and on and I just gave him blank face, I remember him saying chingu something, I really have no idea what he was talking about though, ah damn language barrier T_T
Anyway, they switched to Q&A segments, so fans can ask them anything. I just enjoyed the time and stared at 5 of them, just to look at their antics. Gunwoo was surprisingly really bubbly, he talked the most, very leader material lol. Chaejin was like a kid seriously, he didn’t put on his coat but instead just tied it on his waist to cover his bare legs, he told fans to take pictures from waist above later lol. He was also really clingy to his hyungs, there was a time he stuck his hand under Gunwoo’s armpit like a baby, so cute ;~~~;
It was really cold, I could barely feel my hands and legs, and we had to sit down on the cold asphalt, so most of time I didn’t even notice what’s going on, I’m sorry. And suddenly, Seyong walked to left side and said Indonesia bla bla bla, I assumed he asked me if I have any question? I was speechless, my mind went blank and all Korean I learned for 3 months last year was disappeared into thin air. I looked at him blankly and said, “몰라.” with most puppy eyes look hoping he won’t asking me anymore question. But he kept on and on, “oh, you don’t know Korean?” I shook my head. Then I said, “English!”, he went, “oh, you speak English?”, I replied, “Yes!.”, he continued, “but I don’t speak English.” with the smirk all over his face. I frowned and pretended to sulk, he then came to me and personally gave me a chocolate mini bar. I’m so touched for his action. Seyong-ah, thank you ;~~~;
After more Q&A they wrapped the fanmeeting and 5 of them went all over fans for group picture. I was really shocked when JunQ came between me and k-fan beside me and gestured to give him space. So he squatted down between us ;~~~; fanstaff took some group photos and at 3rd take, JunQ spread his long arms and embraced me and the k-fan beside him ;~~~; I said thank you and he smiled. Damn, I want to see the group pictures so bad!
Then finally handshake event, Astrid told me there would be hug event though, but ended up with handshake but beggar can’t be chooser, I take anything. While preparing to queue I signaled Juju to record me during my turn, and I would do the same for her. I must have at least a memory video from this precious fanmeeting. My hands were so cold, I was worried about what to say to them and suddenly my turn was up.
I stood in front of JunQ, I have to looked up to see his eyes, we shook with both hands, and honestly I couldn’t feel anything haha. I said thank you for sitting next to me during group photo, also wished him good luck for this promotion, he nodded and replied thank you for coming.
Next to him was Gunwoo, I have to wait a bit coz he was still taking to the girl in front of me. I shook his hands and finally our eyes met! He looked at him with his big eyes and smiled, I melted in the spot. First thing I told to him, “I’m your fan!”, he went, “me?” and acted surprised and about to stretch his arms for a hug then he realized he couldn’t and went, “aahhh ahhh ahhh.” cutely. I told him to keep singing and wished him good luck, he replied thank you.
Up next was Chaejin, he was already ready for me. I didn’t say much to him after the handshake but I said thank you, wished him good luck. He listened like an obedient kid and I gave him a thumb up and moved to Insoo, I didn’t realize he already put his hand in the air for a high 5 and didn’t received high 5 back from me (I watched from the video that Juju took). I’m sorry Chaejin-ah. I swear I didn’t see it T_T
I shook hands with Insoo, he didn’t let go my hands when I talked to him ;~~~; he said thank you for coming, I compliment his English, and he went on and on, “I love you, I miss you, everyday, everytime, every minute, every hour …” basically he said all English words he knows. I couldn’t help but chuckle and gave him thumb up, he finally let go my hand and raised his hand for high 5, this time I saw it and high 5 him.
And lastly, it was Seyong, the moment he saw me, he was like, “Indonesia!” I kinda lectured him, “please learn English, you have many fans!” he was, “uhm uhm uhm.” like a kid mumbled whatever lol after I finished talking, he said, “thank you!” loudly. Then I wished him good luck, he nodded and gave me high 5. Then I walked away, but Seyong called me, “Indonesia! I love you! I miss you! See you!” ;~~~; thank you so much, Seyong-ah. Now you just raised up from no.2 to number 1,5 in my bias list from MYNAME ;~~~;
It was really great and unforgettable fanmeeting, Astrid asked me if I like it, I was still speechless, I just gave her 2 thumbs up and said, “the best!”. I stayed back sitting on asphalt and when Juju’s turn I took her video with MYNAME. Then it’s finally over. We walked back to MBC building and waited for mucore. On our way back, we saw Lu:Kus!! OMG 3 members where X-5 members, so you have no idea how happy I was to see them again, they all are so tall and bowed to us, Juju greeted, “안녕.” and got replied back. Aww, they were so handsome, Donghyeon-ah ;~~~;
I will write about my mucore fanaccount separately (if I’m not lazy), all I can say that I managed to get in for live broadcast and even watched from standing area, so it was super close to the stage ;~~~; my Valentine day this year was so daebak!
PS : Astrid went to Inkigayo the next day and told me that Seyong was looking for us, he said he wanted to meet us again ;~~~; Seyong was so nice <33
