Why you should workout every day?
Well this is a question that I still try to ask myself a lot. There is not anything that binds me to te gym or that tells me that is necessary for my wellbeing as Im a tennis player and Im physically active at different levels without taking into account the gym.
At first I think it was the fact that for a long time I was really self-conscious about my body. By the time I was 7 years old I had my tonsils removed because I was having problems eating and I was way too skinny and small. One of my friends on the tennis team told me that the best way to get rid of the way I looked was going to the gym, and in addition I was going to be bettering my tennis level too.
Now I have being lifting weights for about a year and a half, while being serious about it. I donāt miss one day of my workout, and if I do I like to replace it with an extra gym session. I donāt think I do this anymore because I want to change my body, I love my body!, but there is this psychological stress in my mind every time I miss I work out.
Working out is one of those things that starts as a really ugly chore, but then you start liking it more and more because it is so easy to see results if you are consistent, and responsible with your routine. When I started working out I would think why would somebody do this to itself? The reason is that is not only your body that is changing when you work out, you become more calm, your mind stops racing about the stupid things, you are more relaxed, and your confidence gets a huge boost.
Also as a tennis player I got more powerful in my strokes, and I became more confident to use shots that I wouldnāt use before because of the power I have now. A lot of people say that bodybuilding and high pressure aerobic exercise donāt go together, but is not in all truth. I believe that if you work both aspects at the same time you are able to keep your dexterity while getting stronger.
Yeah is truth that you have to spend some time on in, but if you think about it can be as long as thirty minutes of your day to two hours if you are really into it. To be honest this is not a considerable amount of exercise if you start looking it into perspective with the time that you spent on Facebook this week, or the time you spent watching videos in youtube during the week.
Working out becomes a way of life. If you donāt go to the gym you worry and then it becomes something more than just an activity you are doing to change the way you look. It has now become in your way to relaxation, that moment of the day that you are waiting for. The soarnes becomes just a little reminder that you work hard the past day and you are a little better now.
