Dynamight is taller in person. In Izuku’s head, he’s always just been Kacchan in a mask. -- “Who are you and what have you done with Dynamight?” Uravity leans in, like her and Izuku are sharing an inside joke. “Normally he hates talking to reporters. You must be special.” Izuku chuckles, like this is news to him, and looks away from Dynamight. As if he hasn’t read every single interview he’s put out since his debut. As if his mom doesn’t have a hundred magazines with Dynamight’s face on them sitting in her living room. As if they don’t know each other at all.

Today, despite his protests, Hawks is planting trees. It’s a PR thing, planned by his handler and then foisted upon him at the last minute, as these things always are. Usually it’s school openings, or volunteering at hospitals, events that Hawks can begrudgingly accept as being for the greater good. He can even see the merit in signing autographs, but this? Hawks pounds the dirt around the tree he’s just planted a little harder than necessary in frustration. This is stupid, and if there would ever be a good day for wasting time on planting trees, today isn’t that day.
Because Hawks is on fire today.
