Glub Glup the alien: Character sheet

I'm going to try out art fight for the first time this year(!) so I need an OC. Character info under the cut :)

Name: Glub Glup

Species: Green alien

Pronounce: He/she/they/it ect. (Glub Glup does not understand human pronounce)

Basic description: Glub Glup is a small green alien shapeshifter with a fascination with fish and other aquatic creatures from Earth. He can transform fully or partially.

Personally: Glub Glup is a 'fishaboo' who wish they had been born a fish. They do not know as much about fish as they think they do.

Backstory: Glub Glup is amongst a small team of scientists tasked with documenting all life on Earth. Glub Glup volunteered to document all life in water (the other scientists choose all life on land, all life in the sky, all bacteria, and all beetles). They do not know how intelligent humans are or how to communicate with them.

Fun fact: He took one class on how to shift an exoskeleton back in alien college and now thinks that he is an expert in shifting fish scales.

I'm getting a few asks about if I sell prints (witch I don't currently) but maybe I can try settings up something if it's not too complicated.

Does anyone have experience with using print-on-demand services lile Redbubble, Society6, and ArtPal? Are they easy to use or do they require a lot of administrative work?

I don't really know where to start...

I love love your gouache works and was wondering how you scan them and get them looking so goooood bc my digital scans always look just a bit wonky

You are not the first person to ask my this. I don't actually use a scanner; I take a photo on my phone (my phone camera is nothing special) with as much natural indirect light as possible and edit the photo with the snapseed app (adjusting the white balance and so on).

I really recommend snapseed for adjusting the photos. It is almost impossible to make a scan or photo look exactly like our irl art but you can get pretty close with snapseed.

(that sounds like an #ad lol. Not an ad I just really like the app)

Hope that helps, I also had a hard time getting godt photos of my art for a long time :)

Do you sell prints/would you consider selling prints someday? The mspaint quails are so precious and I live in a neighborhood with lots of quail running around so I think it would be a perfect piece to hang somewhere in my home. Ty for what you do ur art is inspirational <3

I don't sell prints and I don't plan on doing so, but you are welcome to print it out or have a print made of it. As long as it is for personal/non-commercial use of course.
