My first letter from the Nightworld <3
I was never actually able to send it to my mother, so I kept it.

Welcome to the Nightworld
“We are not Responsible for any Damaged, Mangled, or Missing Parts”
I got hit by a car on my first day in the Nightworld. A car. Driven by a madman scarecrow and a panicked hawk. Well, not exactly a hawk. More like a five-foot-nine, gangly, angry man with hawkish wings instead of arms and a beaky nose.
It took the duo who hit me about two hours to decide what to do with me, according to what I hope was a hyperbole from Azephaeus, “Az”, the bird-like hybrid man. You would have no idea how panicked I was when I found myself, bleeding, in a dark room alone. Thankfully, Az had been a voice of reason in telling the possessed field guardian, who wanted to just leave me on the road so maybe someone else would hit me and then it would be their fault instead, that maybe they should tend to my wounds.
Of course, a hospital is out of the question. Too much money. Instead, they did their best to patch me up. And they must have done a mighty fine job too, because despite being covered in my own blood, all up my arms and matted into my hair, I couldn’t find a single scratch on me. Az claims it to be a miracle, and Jasper a freak happenstance proving that humans are weird.
Before I suddenly, and painfully entered the Nightworld, I was in my mother’s old, dented up truck, driving with her to pick up donuts for breakfast. Next thing I knew,I was being stared down by two quickly advancing headlights, and next thing I knew I was lying in a vaguely sour smelling, dimly lit room belonging to the worst roommates ever. I sometimes wonder if mother misses me.
I deeply care about my family; my new one and my old one, no matter how many times they decide to run me over. We grew close pretty fast. Jasper’s still a bit of a jerk, and often tends to be repulsed by any signs of affection, but I guess that’s what it is like, having brothers. I think of Az as a much more mature, older sibling than Jasper, who’s the bratty baby of the family. To be totally fair, he is only two years old, what with being a possessed scarecrow and all.
To bring this all to a conclusion, I love my new family, and the world we inhabit. But this odd, dank dimension is a scary, dangerous place. And it’s all because of the damn factions.
Welcome to the Station
“YOU ARE HERE!”
Hello. This a humble blog put up to keep peace between the open worlds. As opposed to the closed worlds, such as your own. I’ll be your conductor for the day. My name is Alfred, and I originated from a planet that shall not be named, but I will tell you that it was very bright. You may already know too much.
I am a Voice, a qualified anteater, and dating he cutest human ever. But that is mostly irrelevant. I just find it nice to start every first-time conversation with three facts about yourself and a proper introduction.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I will explain the universes to you, as briefly as I can. Some are open, and free to visit through your local Gate Station. Some, such as the one you (supposedly) live in, are locked tight. Few people can squeeze through the cracks in the universe from a locked off dimension,
These people are called Keys, as they can hop, per say, between worlds. One of the people writing on this happy little corner of the internet is be a Key herself. Her story is for another time though. And so is mine.
So long, my friends! Please stay safe out there!
