“ i wonder how hard it is for parents to tell their children their ’ art ’ is super ugly. ” claire spoke, not really caring of she offended someone. she didn’t even remember if she made these kind of things before she dropped out and went a different path. what were these events supposed to be? flowers? more like trash.

        “ well art is subjective. & these are school-grade art skills, i doubt any of them are going on to be the next picasso or van gogh. ” while jughead is usually all for bluntness, the are honestly wasn’t too horrible. not the best, certainly, but expected from art that was created by elementary school kids.

         Patti took a deep breath as she set her completely outdated suitcases down in front of her. The lawsuit was still completely up in the air and she had no idea why, but she was itching to get out of New York and to some place she could write a sample article in piece. Her mind had been pretty blocked since her fight with Doug and the press conference. She needed a break, a vacation. And just maybe she could get a story out of it. “Excuse me?” She asked the first person to walk by, gripping onto their sleeve. “I just wanna’ make sure I’m in the right place. This is Magnolia, right? My boss…or maybe soon-to-be ex-boss sent me here to research for a story. The cabbie that dropped me off seemed pretty spooked at this place. Crazy, right?”

                jughead blinks at the woman suddenly grabbing his sleeve. he has half a mind to push her off, really, but instead he decides to entertain the conversation. “ magnolia, illnois, yeah. what’s the story ? as for being spooked, i mean. that’s sort of crazy. then again, people just wake up here so maybe not too crazy of a concept. ”

Connor froze as he fully took in the face of the man he was staring at. Was this shit to hard or did this kid look exactly like him? “Oh, shit, sorry.” Connor put his hands up, before ordering one of his own. “Why do you look like me?”

         jughead  shrugs  at  the  apology,  before  hesitating  at  the  question.  he  toys  with  the  sundae  for  a  bit  to stall his answer before  shrugging  once  more,  “  not  sure.  maybe  we’re  long  lost  brothers  or  something,  ”  he  laughs  without  humour,  his  tone  almost  mocking  but  it’s  clear  he  isn’t  mocking  the doppelganger  but  the  situation.  instead,  he  raises  an  eyebrow,  “  so  what’s  your  name  ?   ”

dead. ho harvelle was dead. she remembered it all in excruciating detail. the demon. the hellhounds. her choice. her mother at her side. and then it had all gone to black. to hell. yet, here she stood. her hands rested on her stomach, her green eyes darting around, as if trying to figure out where she was. what was happening. trying to figure out anything. despite the blood on her, she wasn’t bleeding. like nothing had ever happened, but it had. jo turned to the nearest person to her, “where is this? what’s going on?”

        “  you’re  in  magnolia,  illinois.  not  sure  if  that  really  helps  you.”  jughead  shrugs,  staring  at  her  in  ill-concealed shock at the  blood  coating  her  clothes.  it  doesn’t  look  like  she’s  bleeding,  but  he  figures  he  should  ask  --  “  are  you  alright ?  do  you  need  to  go  to  the  police  ?  a  hospital  ?  ”

archie’s head had been all over the place and still was, he’d spend a lot of time away from magnolia- away from jughead which admittedly pained archie but dealing with his dad on top of that it was hard to focus on both. but now archie was back in magnolia and was saving his visits to riverdale to weekends, which wasn’t all that bad after all he missed spending time with his boyfriend.

vegas was asleep in the corner of his room, archie chuckled a little at the sound of his soft snore. his eyes then went back to his notepad, while being with his dad he’d written a new song and now he was just adding in the finishing touches.

  there was a knock that made his stomach flip, archie put down his pencil as jughead said his name. “ hey…come in ” he could only guess jughead had just got in from work, archie grabbed the books that he had cluttered on his bed and placed them on his bed side table.

        jughead  has missed archie way more than he wants to admit. being away from him feels too much like the last summer, something he is desperately trying to avoid. he’s grateful, though, that his foster family has been lenient enough with him that they’re allowing him to come by magnolia often to spend time with him & their dogs. 

       he  steps  inside  after  hearing  archie allow him in, hot dog padding in after his ankles,  smiling  softly  as  the  white  sheepdog  goes  over  to  rest  near  vegas  before  he  turns  to  his  boyfriend  putting  a  bunch  of  book  on    table.  walking  over,  he  sits  at  the  edge  of  archie’s  bed,  smiling  slightly  before  leaning in  to  kiss  the  corner  of  his  boyfriend’s  lips.

        “  hi,  arch. ”  he  greets,  softly.  with  jughead  working  at  magnolia’s  news  magazine,  &  archie  working  at  the  blue  bison,  it  meant  they  both  came  home  at  different  times.  at  least  he  had  gotten  to  come  home  a  tad  earlier  today,  having  to  write  a  couple  of  articles  before  the  week  officially  ended,  but  he’d  get  to  those  later,  having  already  started  on  them.  “how  was  your  day  ?  ”

“what?” A giggle “you weren’t eating it.” Connor pulled the second sundae infront of him, with a smile. Yes, yes, he was high.

        jughead’s  eyes  narrow.  he’d  known  the  concept  of  doppelgangers,  but  this  ?  was  too.  weird...  “ i  actually  was.  ”  he  corrects,  tugging  his  sundae  back, keeps  his  voice  level.  it  was  far  too  obvious  that the  other  was  high  as  a  kite  but  he’d  be  damned  if  someone  --  even  someone  with  his  face  --  took  his  sundae.

“Do you… know where there is a piano I can play?” Beth asked, her voice barely above a whisper. When the person she was speaking to looked confused, she cleared her throat. “I said….” She began in a louder voice, before she just sighed again, looking down at the ground, embarassed. “… Nothing. I’m sorry to be a bother.”

         taking  pity  on  the  girl  who  is  getting  ignored  by  the  stranger,  he  stops  his  brisk  walk  to  the  magazine  headquarters  before  answering  her  initial  question  that  he  himself  had  barely  heard  due  to  her  whisper.  “  you  can  find  a  piano  in  the  music  store.  it’s  not  too  far  away,  it’s  in  the  shopping  district.  ”

“ oh thats great. i am so gonna get dean and me some food there. “ claire spoke more to herself than the guy as she grabbed her backpack. “ aw, thats great. i wish i had someone to travel with. – also, couple hours doesn’t sound bad, that’s good. “ she shrugged as she kept walking next to the stranger.

          she  says  something  that  jughead  can’t  really  hear,  so  he  decides  to  mostly  ignore  it  since  he  figures  it  wasn’t  meant  for  him,  but  waits  for  her  to  grab  her  things  before  walking  in  step  with  her.  “  yeah,  it’s  a  lot nicer  travelling  with  him.  the  hours  are  easier  to  handle.  we  take  the  train  here,  &  mainly  sleep  the  entire  ride.  ”

Kevin smiled at the familiar voice that had just spoken to him. “Jughead, hey it’s good hearing from you again.” He mumbled with a soft chuckle.

          “  nice  to  see  you  too.  ”  he  eyes  the  other  oddly,  before  crossing  his  arms,  raising  his  eyebrow,  “ so  what  are  you  doing  in  good  ol’  magnolia  ?  ”

enid nodded quickly when the stranger approached her, pulling herself up onto her feet. her eyes were wild and afraid, like she might be about to make a run for it. the truth was that enid didn’t know how to act. she had been caught off guard, something that almost never happened to her. “yeah… just caught me off guard, i guess.”

            jughead  runs  a  hand  through  his  hair,  sighing  as  he  looks  at  the  direction  that  the  stranger  had  gone  before he  looks  to  the  girl.  he  shrugs before  he  responds,  ‘  i’d  like  to  say  that  people  usually  aren’t  like  that  here,  but  honestly  ?  i  have  no  idea.  that’s  the  first  time  i’ve  seen  somebody  just  rob  someone  here.  ’

Dark eyes opened to view the new world around him, taking in every detail of the place that couldn’t have looked any more different to Winterfell. He pushed himself up from the ground and his hand reflexively moved to wrap around the hilt of his sword that he was pleased to find was still safely tucked away at his hip like usual. “What in seven hells?” he murmured to himself, taking a wary step forward so he could observe his surroundings. All around him he could see people who looked nothing like the people back home so he reached out and caught one of them by the arm as they passed, hoping they would have some information on where he was. “How far am I from Winterfell?”

            jughead  needs  to  get  to  work,  &  he’s  very  distracted  as  it  is,  so  much  so  that  he  can’t  bother  himself  with  strangers  who  wake  up  in  weird  places.  when  someone  catches  him  by the  arm,  a  part  of  him  wants  to  dismiss  the  other  but  instead,  just  glances  down  at  his  watch  before  crossing  his  arms.  he  still  had  a  few  moments.  good.  maybe  his  ass  wouldn’t  get  kicked  for  being  late  again. regardless  if  he  doesn’t  get  fired, & realistically:  he won’t  because  he’s  a damn  good  journalist; it’s  still  annoying  how  to  explain to someone  how  they’re  long  ways  from  home.  ‘  winter  –  what ?  look,  man.  i  don’t  know.  you’re  in  the  united  states.  illinois.  if  that  helps  you  at  all.  ’

it came out of nowhere. enid was walking home from her shift at the bakery when someone stopped her. it happened before she could even realise what was happening. a stranger ripping at her jacket, ripping it off her before she even had time to react. she couldn’t keep weapons on her when at the bakery except in her boot, a weapon she couldn’t get to while her arms were wrapped up in the jacket being stolen. and then the person was gone. the stranger took the jacket and ran with it, leaving enid alone in the dark, shivering the singlet she’d been wearing.

       ‘  shit  !  ’  jughead  curses,  when  he  sees a person  attacking  a  girl,  grabbing  at  her  jacket,  before  he’s  immediately  running  over.  when  he  finally  reaches  the  girl  on  the  floor,  the  person  is  long  gone  --  while  jughead  could  probably  chase  after  them,  he  was  a  fast  runner  (  the  only  sport  he  was  good  at,  anyways,  was  track  )  --  but  decides  to  help  the  shivering  stranger  on  the  floor.  ‘  are  you  alright ?  ’

Lydia was walking threw town. She wanted to get out of her apartment for the night. She thought. She heard something. She stops and turns around. She closed her eyes for a minute or two. She heard voices again. Just like she did in beacon hills. She though she was getting over it . But, she was so wrong.”Not this again.”

          ‘  i, uh. are you alright ?  ’  jughead asks, just getting back from work, ready to go grab some dinner upon seeing the redhead standing, talking to herself.
