And to put it frankly it has taken a toll on you
However, while you were lost in your well of overwhelming feelings and emotions; your lover was trying to figure out a way to cheer you up
He noticed right away that you were troubled, he is observant like that
The way your face is gloomy, your eyes are barely able to keep themselves open, your behavior and attitude is calmer than your usual self
At first, he waited a bit to see what will happen cause he didn’t want to interfere in a way that would bug you or make you believe he thinks you can’t handle yourself
Your eyes were full of hurt, your sighs filled the place; it ate him up, how you always looked sad and sorrowful
Your tear stained face was never something he liked, and the frown currently evident on it wasn’t something he found nice either
He wanted to fill your days with contentment and happiness
To make you feel and know that everything is okay
To comfort you the same way you did to him when he felt at his worst
And that’s what got him to be in front of your room, gently knocking on the door
“My love, are you in there?”
“Yeah, but please I am not in the mood to do anything today…”
He ignored your statement and slowly opened the door, peeking at your figure curled up on the bed
Your face buried deep in the pillow as you hugged it tighter, trying to keep your voice from wavering as much as you can while you try to shoo him away
His eyes squinting in pain and sympathy at your state as his hand hesitantly reached out to you, voice softly speaking as to not startle you “Would you like to tell me what happened?”
Be it that you choose to talk or not
He will be there for you, holding you close to his chest, stroking and rubbing your back to comfort you
Listening intently to you if you talk, mind jumbling for solutions and ideas to solve your problem or what made you sad if you allow him and/or ask him for how to deal with it, and if you just want to vent then he will listen to you too, giving you his full attention
And if someone made you upset and you don’t want to mention their names, then he will sternly and simply say “y/n, I want a name. who did it?”
Even if you chose to stay silent he will rock your body against his, pressing tender kisses to the top of your head, whispering compliments and sweet nothings to your ear
After all, a wonderful person such as yourself deserves to be reminded of just how amazing they are
Later on, after calming you down and listening to you, he will make it his life goal to make you laugh and smile, to make you forget about whatever clouded your mind to get you to that point
He will do anything, be it by doing his usual silly antics or pranking someone; maybe, also tell you his endless stories and adventures of annoying kunikida and chuuya
When he does manage to get a giggle out of you, he beams; finally that euphony of a sound had at the end came out
He will gradually and understandingly of his surroundings return to his boisterous self and try and make you laugh all the even more
It could be a tickle battle (more like him tickling the hell out of you while you stay like a helpless real human in love with a fictional character)
If you, however, are a strong cookie who doesn’t get tickled then he will annoy the shit out of you instead
Like poking or his usual “Y/N-CHANNN”
We don’t have neutral here
It’s either tickling or being annoying
Chaotic good or chaotic evil
Yes I am making science jokes
I think the milk and lack of sleep are kicking in
Overall, a 10/10 man at comfort, he dealt with a lot of people and has studied them and the nature of the human emotions
So he knows how to comfort you, even if it’s with touch or just simple words
Especially since you are his lover
He wouldn’t be that good of a lover if he couldn’t read you now would he?
