All I'm gonna say is that Patreon sadly changed the community for worse, despite my own opinion that it's a truly amazing platform itself, besides all division that it created on sims spaces.
I feel like money really destroyed Simblr + the whole community dynamic. I remember having so much fun with just posting sims content and all, just being active, obviously I still have fun with all of that, but the whole climate just kinda... changed. I noticed this shift some years ago. Many people don't give a rats ass about things anymore, unless it's CC. Everything has turned only to be made into profit. Also, slightly different topic, and obviously I can't say it for everyone, but it also feels like most CC collabs are just for the cash grab, and not out of connection and sympathy between the creators themselves. Surely not all, but years ago they didn't happen as frequently. Again, everything changed, whether it's the behaviour of people who are only downloading stuff, being just active on sims spaces, or also when creating CC. It just feels... different.
It's so sad actually. IMO Patreon is a wonderful platform, it allows creators to get some support, it could be nicely used for early access, or general just as a GENUINELY GOOD platform to put CC on (nice post format, downloads without needing other links, enough space for pics, cool sorting system), and then everything gets paywalled to hell and treated like a business. While Sims is actually a wonderful, fun game. I can only speak for myself here, but my passion and love has never faded. I grew up with this game series, and it will forever mean something to me. I can't just treat it like shit, cause it simply feels wrong. It has ALWAYS been part of my life. It's really sad seeing how many people see this game series & community just as walking wallets.
Happy 4th from us 💙❤️
