Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
February 22, 2015
A few week ago, Nina and I decided to go to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk since there was a 2 for the price of 1 deal at Costco. We started the morning off with a small workout session at the gym, then off to eat some poke from Pacific Catch. This restaurant has become a little favorite of ours ever since I took Nina there for our 2 year anniversary lunch in San Francisco back on the 3rd of February. Luckily for us, they had a location extremely close to us so we wouldn't have to drive all the way back to San Francisco.
I got the Japanese Wasabi Hawaiian Poke Asian-Pan Rice Bowl
Since Nina tried the Hawaiian Poke last time, she got the Seared Ahi Asian-Pan Rice Bowl. Last time we only got brown rice but learned our lesson and opted for half brown rice and half salad and we actually finished it this time!! :)
Since it was date day, we had to get some kind of dessert! Can you believe this is probably my first time having Cold Stone ice cream?! I felt like such a noob compared to all the little kids that were ordering theirs like such pros T_T
Then it was off to the Boardwalk!!
Excuse her shyness lol...

Nina's Birthday
February 21, 2015
So today is Nina's birthday and as a surprise, I decided to take her to San Francisco for lunch and a relaxing day in the city. We were already suppose to go have brunch as a little celebration but I decided that why not make it a little more grand. I asked one of the other supervisor at her work place to cover the first half of her shift from 1-5pm and he happily agreed!
Woke up that morning and went straight to Safeway to pick up a rose and a tiny balloon as a little surprise starter. Picked her up and originally we were suppose to go have brunch so she didn't suspect anything just yet. She finally caught on to what was happened when I started heading towards the freeway instead of going in the direction of the Vietnamese buffet that we planned to go eat at. Not to mention, I had my earphone on that was giving me directions to where we were going to be eating at in the city.
When she finally caught on, due to the fact that my volume for my earphone was up all the way, she got all excited and asked where we were going, stating that she had work in a hour and a half. I smiled and told her that we were simply going to go eat a little further away and that she didn't have work until 5pm instead. Smiling from ear to ear, she calmed down shortly and stopped badgering me with questions as to where we were going.
Finally got to our lunch destination and it was such a sweet little spot. The name of the place was Farm:Table and parking wasn't the easiest but we manager to find a 30 minute street parking close by.
I ordered the Daily Toast while Nina ordered the Savory Tart and my goodness was the food yummy and delicious! If I were to live closer, I would definitely come back on a regular basis!!
After food, of course as a special treat, I had to take Nina to one of her new favorite boba shop that we tried from our anniversary date in the city called Boba Guy. Guys, if you're ever in San Francisco and feeling thirsty for a boba drink, give this place a try!
Nina ordered an Indian Chai Milk Tea I believed and their Jasmine Milk Tea with no ice to save for later and I ordered the Duke of Earls. Both of our drinks came out in a timely manner and were made to perfection.
After getting our food and boba fix, I took Nina to a little SF hidden gem to see the beautiful view of the city and take lots of pictures!
After all of our mini photo shoot, it was back home we go so that Nina could go to work and I had to go to a church function. I hope you enjoyed all our pictures and the post!!

Our Story
My name is Ngan (pronounced "naan" like the Indian bread) and my girlfriend's name is Nina and our relationship started in a little boba shop called Tapioca Express. We worked together for about a year and never have we spoken to each other unless it was work related, at work, but on a quiet Saturday morning, being the weirdo that I am, I initiated a conversation about beta fish and slightly, jokingly asked her if she would want to start a Tapioca Express love affaire. Nina, being the awkward and shy person that she is, had no respond to my offer and immediately went back to work to not make an awkward situation worse.
We spoke to each other very little as the days went on but my fondness of her grew until everyone at work was slowly noticing. I had no idea I was showing any signs but they weren't wrong in their assumptions either.
Months went by and at the store's Christmas party I was told by coworkers later on that I was following Nina everywhere and it was so obvious that I had feelings towards her. I beg to differ still to this day about that but eh, oh wells, no one believes me haha!
Weeks went by and out of the blue I got a text from my coworkers pretending to be Nina, drunk at some party texting me and how she just "wanted to check up on me" and see what/how I was doing. I fell for the stupid joke and thought Nina was seriously at a party, drunk texting me, and replied to her text. After a few texts from my coworkers, the text started to really be from Nina and we stayed up till early in the morning texting each other back and forth. One text led to another, to phone calls and date plans, to finally where we are today. Nina and I have been together for a little over 2 years now and we've never been happier.
We still constantly text, call, facetime, and see each other on a daily basis and we love to go on fun adventures together and we'd like to invite you to join us in our escapades! Won't you join us?!
xoxo Nina & Ngan
