I couldn’t find whether they’re paid minimum wage but I did notice the lovely individual who posted this immediately jumped to suggest someone should be thankful for minimum wage (as a side note, the minimum wage is not $15 and won’t be for over a year)

I also found out it’s a New Zealandish style restaurant (whatever that means), so it’s possible the note was referring to kiwi immigrants, which I’m sure is exactly the sort of people that would be targeted by xenophobic immigration policies.
