Furnace of the Gods (Tomb Raider II: The Golden Mask)
Tomb Raider II: The Golden Mask bonus level Nightmare in Vegas was originally in black and white only, to better capture the dream atmosphere of Lara facing her enemies from the latest adventure in the subconscious. Several areas of the level still have the remaining textures from that abandoned, much cooler, design. Wish they would work on those in the Remasters.

“Scumm Bar”
Additional: haven’t played the game in a while, can’t say if it is indeed the Curse of Monkey Island game, but looks like it. Guybrush model and the overall design indicates that..?
(this post is really old, so this info isn’t aimed at you exactly, more just in general)
This was a concept Bill Tiller did for The Secret of Monkey Island being done in Curse’s style. (Mêlée Island doesn’t feature in Curse.) Someone seems to have pasted Guybrush in there, since he’s not in the actual art:
Oh yeah, I refreshed my memory since then. So crazy how it became my favouite game of all time once again! There are several legit areas that didn’t make it though, like The Fort, I think.

Nightmare in Vegas detail (Tomb Raider II: Golden Mask)
I’ve been playing Tomb Raider 1 as of lately, and although the controls are super clunky and awkward, Lara’s design is incredibly cool and badass! I used this occasion to train my painting skills too, since I’ve been neglecting them for a very long time (^▽^;)

Preview of Metal Gear Solid from Next Generation #40 (Apr. 1998)
“The designers’ target audience is the 25-year-old age group, so hopefully the plotline will steer clear of juvenile antics and move towards mature themes.“
Definitely no juvenile antics in Metal Gear.
