what brush did you use to make the frost in the chapter 2 cover? ive been trying to make frost effects but it never turns out right ; _ ;
Oof - I know it was a free AutoDesk brush, but what I recommend now (using CSP) is to get a snowflake brush that has variable snowflakes, and then a cloud brush to use over your snowflakes. That'll give it that "foggy frosty" look that chapter two has.
is there a link somewhere where i can read everything chronologically?
Every comic page should have a link to the beginning under Chapt 1; if not, here -Â https://ninjago-empressoftheunderworld.tumblr.com/post/186459390172/pages-one-and-two-have-landed-look-for-updates
So, about the angst week day two, I was thinking that this is another thing of the past or something, because what Lloyd is holding looks like Clouse's spellbook, which the ninja burned in the end of s4. Lloyd also is wearing what seems like his father's robes, and with this in mind, the literature piece says that the snake is an anacondrai warrior, and they were all sealed underground. the only one is pythor.
When Lloyd blinked, he found the monastery was empty. Just him alone on the training grounds. The sky was filled with grey clouds, as a thunderstorm rages above him, the wind makes it hard to stand, but there is no rain. Just a dark purple mist gathering at his feet. He cups his hands around his face.
âHello?!â Still nothing. âIt looks like I am trapped He takes a deep breath. âI know youâre out there! Come on out and get this over with! I donât have time for this!â
Seconds later, a bolt of lightning struck directly below Lloydâs feet, sending him flying backwards and into the steps on the monastery, breaking them apart with the force of his fall. As he recovers, Lloyd looks down at the purple mist, recognizing it, as it consumes him.
âItâs been so long since I was called.â A high pitched, disembodied voice came. Lloyd opens his eyes and finds the mist so thick, he can barely see the shadow that appeared to be the outline of a person.
âWell, Iâm sorry no ones done that for you.â Lloyd extends his hand to the shadow, âBut now that Iâve done it, need your help. Please.â The figure strokes its chin.
âWhy?â it asks. âYou didnât even want my help.â Lloydâs eyes widen as he recoils his hand. âSurprised? Why? We always find out our hosts memories, even their thoughts, though with a few, limitations.â
Lloyd balls his hands into fists. âLook, I know we got off on the wrong foot,â he walks even closer to the figure, âbut I really need your pow-â Lloyd freezes. When he grabs the figureâs shoulder, heâs able to see its clothes. He turns the figure towards him and realizes who it is.
âKai?â
Kai smiles, but that smile turns to horror as the mist starts to change him, from the legs up kai turns to stone, reaching out for Lloyd.
âLloyd... itâs so cold...â
Kai freezes completely. Before Lloyd can properly react, he hears the others. He can see their silhouettes, the other ninja. Jay, Nya, Zane, Cole, Wu. One by one he runs to them but heâs always too late. Some fall to the ground but they are all reaching out towards him.
âLloyd...â They all moan. âHelp us...â
Lloyd backs away into the center of the mist.
âI... I canât! Iâm sorry!â Lloyd lets himself say before remembering. He hits himself on the head. âStupid. This isnât real. None of this is real.â He stares up at the faint storm above him that rages.
âI KNOW THIS ISNâT REAL! NOW FACE ME, YOU COWARD!â He yells. The mist clears enough that Lloyd can see a figure standing on top of the outer wall. A dark figure, with four arms, wearing a bright yellow mask with two white horns sticking out the sides of it. It carries no weapons, but Lloyd can see the strange mist leaking from its jaw. It jumps down gracefully, careful not to dent the ground.
âEven when facing your fears you still remember your goal. Impressive, you really are one of us.â The figure states. Lloyd is unamused.
âLook, at this point, you have two options. One, agree to help me fight the actually battle thatâs happening, or two, get out of my head so I can go back.â Lloyd crosses his arms. âYour choice.â The figure remains grinning. And in the blink of an eye, is behind Lloyd.
âYou and I both know thereâs a third option.â It whispers in his ear. Lloyd tries to punch it but the figure dodges. Backing into the even thicker purple mist. Lloyd runs after it, and when he sees a silhouette, punches it straight in the chest. Lloyd only his stone. It crumpled to the ground as Lloyd turns to find his target again. He sees another silhouette and destroys that one as well. After four more stone statues are destroyed, the figure speaks again.
âSo eager to leave that youâve forgotten why you even need me.â Lloyd hears from directly behind him again. He whips around and sees the yellow masked figure, still plastered with the grin. It gives a snap, and the mist clears, revealing the destroyed stone bodies of Lloydâs friends, his family. Lloyd looks at them in horror before attempting to assert himself.
âI wouldnât do this!â Lloyd yells. The figure wags finger in Lloydâs face.
âBut you did do this. You destroyed them. You didnât care what got in the way so long as you got to me. You destroyed them all so long as you could get my power.â It answers. Lloyd shakes his head violently, cupping his hands over his ears as he falls to his knees.
âItâs not real... itâs not real... itâs not real...â
âBut it is real.â The figure, breaking into Lloydâs thoughts replies. Lloyd brings his hands in front of him and noticed something.
They turned pitch black.
Lloyd shuts his eyes tight and covers his ears, yet he can still hear the cackling.
âYou want my power, but youâre afraid of what gives you the ability to use it?! HA!â
âStop it, STOP! I want out!â Lloyd yells. He doesnât look, but he knows the figure is stepping towards him.
âBut I wonât stop. You wanted my power right? Iâll make you strong and help you win. And once itâs just the two of us, and Iâve given you all I have, youâll be strong enough to be just like...â
The figure grabs Lloydâs chin, forcing the ninja to look him in the eye. Except it wasnât the masked figure he was staring at.
When Zane blinks his eyes open, he finds himself face to face with Lloyd. To his right however, was an anacondrai warrior, quivering in fear. Zane would have attempted to comfort the snake, but his hands have been cuffed to a table, and the three appear to be in an interrogation room. But for some odd reason, Zane doesnât feel surprised. He simply stares at his handcuffs, struggling for a moment before stopping to be annoyed by Lloydâs laughter.
âYou know, there is a certain rhythm to interrogation that I just canât stand. Iâm sure if Wu were here, heâd try to make you see reason. But thankfully he isnât. Itâs just you and me spy.â
The ice elemental master dared to glare into the crimson eyes of his captor.
âI regret nothing.â Zane answered, âDo your worst I will never talk.â But this made Lloyd laugh even harder.
âOh I knew you were going to say that. Otherwise I wouldâve âborrowedâ this book for nothing.â Lloyd proceeds to grab a very large and very old book from below the table and slam it on top, causing dust to fly into Zaneâs eyes he couldnât wipe away. Though Lloyd clearly didnât care. Instead, he flipped through pages as fast as he could, desperate to get to a bookmark. Zane took notice of what the book contained.
âA spell book?â He asked wearily. Lloyd nods.
âNot just any spell book. A book of spells that contains the perfect punishment for you, and all the others who tried to destroy us.â
âWe didnât try to destroy you! We were defend-â
Lloyd shoots a dark energy ball at Zaneâs chest before returning to flipping.
âNever trust a snake!â Lloyd points to the silent snake next to Zane before pointing back to him. âBoth literally, and in your case, metaphorically.â A wicked grin creeps across Lloydâs face as he reaches the page. Before Zane can make out what it says, Lloyd lifts it off the table. He words Zane doesnât understand, but he notices the serpentine next to him finally speak.
âNo. You canât! Not there! Iâll do anything! ANYTHING!â But Lloyd merely looked at the snake with annoyance.
âI donât need you,â he points to Zane. âBut unfortunately, I need him.â As Lloyd continues, the candlelight flickers, and a giant green portal with a blue void in the center, opens in the ceiling. Zane watches in horror as the snake next to him turns from solid to a transparent green, before getting sucked into the vortex.
The portal closes when Lloyd slams the book closed, snapping Zaneâs attention back to his captor.
âWhat did you do?!â Zane yells. Lloyd, his eyes red with hatred, leans in close enough that thereâs barely any space between them, meeting Zaneâs blue eyes with his own crimson ones.
âI sent that snake to the cursed realm. And if you do not tell me where the rest of your traitors are, when we do eventually find them, all of them, will join him.â
Iâm so excited to see wa happens in dis au! Ya need to keep it updated or I might die from having to wait đ
We are trying our absolute best to get the next chapter ready! Mel and I are both staring adulthood in the face, so itâs making this project difficult to make a priority...but keep an eye out!
Right now it is my little super star rockinâ Jay simply because heâs adorable and I love glamrock Jay.
Overall...hmmm...damn I actually have no idea which minifig I like the best. I never got ninjago legos as a kid, so the prime empire + land bounty ones are the only ones I have.
