Meanwhile, Hansard's team, accompanied by Captain Lorenzo, journeyed eastward towards a perpetual lightning storm, hopeful of finding a gateway back through the still-active chronostorm. Upon Hansard's return, battered but urgent, he reveals a shocking revelation to a debriefing committee: they have stumbled upon a coastline beyond the sea, sparking both hope and despair among the group.
