Aftg is such a trip because like. The timing is objectively off. It's better that way. It's badly written but actually no it's not. Here's a whole new sport. We lied, its just lacrosse in a silly hat. Trauma galore. By all known laws of book tropes, the main couple should be toxic as hell. They're too cagey and paranoid and possessive not to be. But the main couple, not caring about trope law, creates the healthiest relationship ever written anyways. It's problematic as fuck. It's the best series ever. It's completely unrecommendable. It's gay, but not how you think it'll be in the first book. You'll hate it the first time you read it. Six months later you'll have a whole blog for it.
Aftg isn't a book, it's a fucking experience.
Headcanon that the cats love to settle next to Andrew during the day, but less next to Neil, because Andrew radiates calm energy vs Neil who can't stay still 5 minutes.
(At night they would totally snuggle between their two humans, their rightful place 😌)

Hc that Andrew was a huge book nerd growing up and only said he was "allergic to books" more recently because his meds made him so unable to focus that he was no longer able to enjoy books the way he used to and he was so distraught upset that he decided he would avoid books all together, and now that he's off his meds he's able to enjoy books again (and Nicky becomes so confused when he notices Andrew going to the library more often).
I always see Andrew as Deadpool and Neil as Spiderman.
But have you thought about the opposite?
I mean, Deadpool sassyness, scars, has no one but himself, skilled with knives, can't shut up... all Neil! Plus Andrew "scared of heights" as Spiderman would be too funny 😂
And for the nerd side of him.. imagine if Aaron was Spiderman too. Spidertwins
