Fuck management and their false advertising

Hi. Spooptown again. At our haunt we have a thing called “blackout” where we turn off all the lights. It’s advertised as a “high intensity high-thrill experience” and you have to sign a waiver and shit. And in previous years, we were allowed to touch customers during blackout. We are no longer allowed to do that, as well as everything being the exact same but with the lights in two of the houses off. They also put in the ad that there would be one glowstick per small group, now its glow sticks for everyone and if they have a red glow stick it means “do not scare” if you go to spooptown during what’s supposed to be our scariest night of the year and ask for a thing that tells the workers not to scare you, save your money and stay in the car

Kind of f* me also as I kind of started it also. The other day I was working at self-serve checkout when I noticed a customer was having problems. I came over to help but I walked too close and accidentally stepped on his feet when he turned around. I later learned he had a foot injury from being in the army that never properly healed so I probably aggrevated it but I didn’t know at the time. He started yelling at me and I apologized before I tried to help him with his problem but he was still mad at me and wouldn’t give me the chance to properly help him and was still yelling at me. Eventually I decided that maybe it was best to leave him alone and walked off to help another customer with him yelling at me to go away. The customer that I was helping apparently had enough of his attitude towards me and yelled at him to leave me alone. I tried to calm her down and eventually they both left the area and I thought that was the end of that only for a couple minutes to my horror that they were in front of the doors yelling at each other with two of my coworkers standing between the two to prevent a fistfight. Eventually they left but I was shocked that they will take it that far. The lady called the store late to ask if I was alright and I was though I was unhappy that i caused a fight. Apparently the lady confronted the man at the door and started shaming him for his attitude towards me and the guy just wanted to leave and was still mad and that how the argument started with a lot of bad word exchanges between them. Everyone was mad that the lady was making it worse as they say she should mind her own business as the guy just wanted to go home but she decide to publicly shame him. I am grateful for her defending me but I agree she should had let it go and she is doing herself and me any favors with with continuing on the argument.

Ok this is super petty and so not a big deal butit gets on my nerves when people ask me not to break their eggs/squish their bread. Like yes susan im totally going to beat ur eggs with a hammer and stomp on ur bread before i put them in ur cart. Use common sense. Im obviously not going to do that so please save ur breath and dont tell me how to do my job

It has always bothered me too. I sometimes wonder if they have been a bad customer in the past and had a pissed off worker taking some small revenge.

I asked a guy to have patience with the self check machine cause it was slow and he angrily said "I have NO patience for these things I FUCKING HATE THEM" and it took all my physical and emotional strength not to ask why the fuck he went through self check out to begin with
