You just said you haven’t talked to him in a month. Best friends go that long without speaking? It doesn’t really make any sense. He was your best friend, and now he’s not, but you’re still best friends in a way. That’s not how that works, Charlotte. You don’t go back to best friends after a break up. You just can’t. The relationship has changed and it doesn’t revert.

And what’s worse? I went and made myself known, so he’ll see it as a challenge and start trying to keep you interested on him. I don’t want to compete, but he will while simultaneously seeing other girls. And I promise he will see others. You two broke up for a reason and guys like to immediately explore their freedom after a split. And you just admitted that he’s promiscuous. You deserve better than that, Charlotte. You deserve to get to move on too.

Yeah, kind of. I’ve been trying to spend time with you and figure you out because I really like you, but I haven’t cracked you much. My whole plan was, once you came back from New York, I was going to sweep you off your feet, but now it seems like you have a guard dog who doesn’t know he’s been set free. He implied that you weren’t exactly emotionally available since you two were just so close and you must be hung up on him. So, I’ve gotta ask, am I wasting my time?
