Here's an interesting panoramic photo of me in the ADK. My mouth was open because I was in shear awe of the sight before me... actually no I think I was just complaining at how cold it was.
Late pictures from the last adventure, it was pretty cold but wonderful altogether. I'm planning on doing another trip this upcoming weekend. The weather will be fierce and the temperatures will be low, but I think we'll get along just fine. More pictures soon to come.
Short backpacking trip this weekend. Will take pics. Be back soon :)
Rocky Mountain Summit. Inlet, NY
Bald Mountain. Webb, NY.
Agers Falls Lyons, NY.
Finally! After weeks of sitting at home doing nothing besides pondering my thoughts, I actually got out for some fresh air. Today my brother, dad and I went for a short hike at a place relatively close to my house. Three Falls Woods land trust in Manlius, NY. It was a beautiful little area to visit with lots of water and rock features to enjoy! This time of year is kind of muddy but it was an easy hike regardless. Definitely a revisit in the future.
NYS just keeps getting worse and worse. I'd like to move now.
Yooooo
NY weather blows pp so I haven't been able to get out and go hiking recently. Also working with some car troubles I need taken car of before I can go anywhere far. Hope to get back out and start hiking again in a couple weeks when the weather breaks, I can tell this spring is going to be good. I'm also planning to group up with some friends and do a group hike in the ADK, probably after April since work will be heavy. Well, that's all I got, new pics shall be coming soon enough. For now, the Witcher 3 and a nice alcoholic beverage.

Visited a beautiful little stream yesterday with my dad. He couldn't stop saying how beautiful the water looked with the snow surrounding it.
In a rut
Unfortunately I have been having trouble planning out a winter hike. Its extremely hard to plan it out accordingly when the weather is so erratic, one day is 65, the next 35 and after that it's back down to 10 degrees. Might just stick out the winter and do some training in the gym until the weather is better so I can do longer duration hikes throughout the summer. I'm still going to try and plan at least one winter hike before its over.
Over the summer, my brother and I set out on a hike to find this beautiful lake. Which was quite literally the easiest hike I've ever been on. It was an easy 1.7 miles from the parking area to the lake, which at our pace took no longer than 30 minutes. We ultimately reached our location and set up camp for the night. It was almost perfect weather a side from the wind on the lake. The first picture is one that I snapped at about 3 AM, I woke up and couldn't fall back asleep so I got up and decided to take some amazing pictures. I remember staring into the lake aimlessly, like I was looking for something. It was so calm and quiet I felt absolutely at peace. Across the lake I could hear the bustling of the wilderness, the Coyotes howling, a restless Loon, and the clapping of the water on shore. It was an amazingly beautiful experience, definitely a future camping location.
Just me in my natural habit. I hiked a place in Tully, NY called Labrador Hollow Unique Area, a couple weeks before Christmas. It was just a short distance to the peak of the hill, only about .6 miles (on the gps) from bottom to top. Although it wasn't very long, it was actually quite tiring due to the almost 45 degree incline, which was well worth the view believe me. I reached the top after a brisk 20 minute climb and I proceeded to take some pictures and video. It was so incredibly windy at the top that my external microphone couldn't record any sound without it becoming distorted so I just took pictures. Not 2 minutes after I took the 1st picture, a random burst of a snow squall came over the top of the adjacent hill. Everything in front of me in the picture was white out, I couldn't even see the road below. I grabbed my gear and proceeded down the slope at a decent pace but the squall came in so quickly I had no time to react. I was fine once I returned to the trail, the trees deflected most of the wind and snow but had I not left when I did It would have been a shear white out. Thankfully I could see the squall coming before it had actually hit.
Hello! Welcome to my blog!
This is actually my second time trying out tumblr, mainly to share my experiences. I wanted to make a proper blog that contains an aspect of content. Not any sort of specific content just my thoughts on a certain topics, things I experience on a daily basis and things that I might be going through personally. I don't have any specific plans, I just want to share with the hope of gaining some feedback. Thanks to all who take the time to view my blog!
