This bus is coming together.
Little one inspecting the latest build.
I've been hard at work on the latest skoolie build while waiting for our next client build to receive her van. Which I hope is going to be early February. This build is already completely different than our first skoolie, which is super funny to reflect on how much I've become an absolutely stickler for perfection and just how much my opinion and idea of a quality build has changed. After traveling in both our skoolie and our van, I've realized the importance of minimizing thermal bridging and properly insulating a vehicle. Our van was absolutely comfortable regardless of environment, our bus was well... a rig to truly travel with the weather. I've mostly been documenting the build between YouTube and Skoolie.net, but I'm falling back into loving GIFs, so I hope you all enjoy them.

It truly doesn't make sense to me that I've kind of always been a Tumblr kid. At some point in my youth, I grew up from LiveJournal and stumbled here, filled with rage I didn't understand, an isolating void, and angst for absolutely no reason whatsoever. This Tumblr survived and witnessed a ton of change in my life, and regardless of what I chose to delete or keep, or even the multiyear hiatuses, I somehow still end up here from time to time to reflect, to pay my respects to my former selves—some that have died, some that are still here in some battered and beaten capacity.
I think, in part, the younger versions of me would be simultaneously stoked and disappointed in who they've become. I said "fuck it" to society for so long, but I find myself concerned and in fear of the future. My younger "nothing matters, we all die anyway" attitude lingers but is largely gone. I find myself looking forward to the mundane tasks and events in life. I voice my opinions less and less because I understand now that my opinion is menial in the sea of everyone thinking their way is right, more so now than ever before.
I guess I'll sum it up at... I came here as a kid, and now I'm raising one.
Time is indeed a peculiar and elusive concept.
