Nod & Rose Take off to LA for Labor Day!

The plan was a little R&R poolside at the Line Hotel in LA with  with our besties' from Charlotte, Evan and Danielle. Evan works for Bank of America and is by far the most fashionable guy in the building, while Danielle, in addition to a successful job in solar energy, continues to get her creative fix from side ventures like Sugar Mama Pies, her mini pie company that pairs great with beer, and Rubies on Vanilla, her fashion blog (rubiesonvanilla.blogspot.com/).  So when the plan ultimately took a left turn from the pool we couldn't have been with a better couple who enjoy traveling the way we do: lots of shopping (see Venice Beach) some off the beaten path adventures (see bike ride from Korea Town to Silver Lake) and great food (see The Commissary at the Line Hotel, Broken Spanish in DTLA, Yang Chow in China Town, and Gjelina on Abbot Kinney).  

On a side note, I must mention our ride home....the new 787 Dreamliner.  Thank you random domestic flight.  Can I ever fly coach again?
