Southern Born and Bred | Part II
A little more than a year had passed since Mason‘s deer hunting debacle. In that time a lot had changed for Mason and his small family. Austin was able to land a really good job, they were able to move out of Mason‘s parents house, and of course, the birth of their son Ryder. Mason carried Ryder all the way up to 41 weeks when finally one evening around 11 Mason went into labor with Austin‘s baby. It took nearly 14 hours of labor before they met their son.
4 months later Mason find himself sitting on the edge of the bathtub, staring at a positive pregnancy test. He hears the jiggle of the doorhandle and Austin on the other side.
Austin: “Hey you okay in there, you’ve been in there a while?”
Austin: “Okay well can you hurry it up then, I’m gonna be late for work.”
Mason: “I’ll be out when I’m out!”
Austin unlocks the door from the outside and swings it open, the door opens and Mason scrambles to hide the test from sight.
Austin: “Hey, what’s going on, was that what I think it was?”
Mason: “Dammit, why do you have to barge in like that!”
Austin: “Babe are you pregnant again?”
Mason: “Yep.” He says in a short aggressive tone as he rises to his feet, he begins to move towards the exit pushing the pregnancy test into Austin’s chest as he goes.
Austin: “Mason, what’s wrong we talked about this. I thought we both agreed we wanted more kids?”
Mason: “Yeah in a few years when I’ve recovered from having Ryder, and when I’ve had time to start my career. That’s why I told you to use a condom, but nooo, you just had to do it raw dog like you did when I was pregnant, and I was an idiot for letting you.” he says, as he grabs his truck keys off the dresser and makes his way towards the front door.
Austin: “Babe, where are you going? Can’t we talk about this?”
Mason: “I just need some time to think, I’ll be back later.” He says as he slams the front door, waking Ryder in the process.
Austin was ecstatic, though slightly saddened by Mason‘s reaction to all of this. He began happily dancing around the house while carrying rider in his arms. Admittedly, it did put a smile on his face to know that he had been able to knock up his fiancé again. The thought of getting to watch Mason‘s body grow and change with his baby again filled him with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
Later that day Mason returns home and is greeted by Austin who was in the process of feeding Ryder a bottle. The sight of his loving fiancé, being so loving, and so nurturing to their son, filled Mason with a feelings of love, and more than a little lust. Though Mason‘s head was still running wild with thoughts, thoughts like: “Can we even afford another baby right now?” “Can we even handle two children under two?” “Am I just gonna be a full-time stay at home dad now?”. Mason and Austin discussed all of Mason‘s concerns for hours and coming out of that conversation, Mason was filled with a renewed sense of reassurance, love and family.
Mason and Austin find them selves on a boat in the middle of the very same lake whose shore Ryder was conceived on. Taking a day to themselves before the twins are born. However what Mason didn’t tell Austin is that he had been having what he thought were practice contractions irregularly throughout that morning.
Austin: “I’m so glad we were able to get away for a bit, just the 2 of us.”
Mason: “I’m just glad my parents agreed to take Ryder for the day, I needed some baby free time, unborn babies not included.” he says jokingly.
Austin: “Well I’m just thankful I can finally get some alone time with you and your massive belly.”
Mason: “Hey you don’t have to call me massive, I already feel like a beached whale. And I’m only massive because of you, you and your jumbo sized babies.”
Austin: “You know I can’t help it, you’re just so damn sexy when you’re carrying my kids, you know that. I can’t keep my hands off of you.”
Mason: “Not that that is much different than normal, even after I had Ryder you were begging for it every night after we got the all clear from the doc.”
Austin: “Oh it doesn’t matter what shape you are, I’ll always want me some Mason.” He says as he moves closer to Mason so he can attend to Mason’s massive belly.
After sharing an intimate moment, Austin whine to take it one step further and slides his hand down Mason’s pants and begins to fondle his sick and balls. Mason responds by hitting Austin in the nuts.
Austin: “What was that for?” he says through pain and gritted teeth.
Mason: “You’ve done enough touching, plus it’s hot and I’m really not in the mood babe.”
Austin: “Fine, I’m just gonna lay here for a minute.”
Mason: “You do that then.”
Another 2 hours pass and Mason starts feeling some intense pains in his belly and lower back, Austin could tell by the look on his face that something was up as he watched Mason run the underside of his belly.
Austin: “What’s wrong babe?”
Mason: “Oh just some practice contractions, I’m fine. I used to get them all the time about the last month of carrying Ryder. No big deal.”
Austin: “You sure don’t think I ever saw you wince like that at a practice contraction?”
Mason: “Yeah I’m fine, I’m not due for another few weeks anyways, like I said they’re just practice contractions.”
Austin: “Okay if you’re sure.”
10 minutes pass and Mason experiences another contraction, this one slightly stronger than the last.
Mason: “Oooof, ahhh, man this one is rough”
Austin: “Babe, these don’t seem like a practice contraction, are you sure you’re not in labor?”
Mason: “No I’m not in labor, I can’t be I’m not due for another few weeks, at my appointment yesterday they saw no dilation and no signs that the babies would come soon, I’m fine, I’m sure that the practice contractions are just a bit more powerful when you are as big as I am.”
Austin: “Remember though the doc said that twins tend to come early!”
Mason: “Austin relax I’m not in la…” his sentence cut off by a trickle of fluids, running down his leg and onto the deck of the boat.
Austin: “Did your water just break?
Mason: “I think so, oh my god, I’ve been in labor all afternoon… We have to go right now!”
Austin: “What do you mean all afternoon?”
Mason: “Yeah I’ve just been ignoring them because I thought they were Braxton-Hicks contractions and they were irregular and they weren’t super bad until now.”
Austin: “Oh my god, why would you hide that from me?”
Mason: “We were having such a great time I didn’t want to interrupt it.”
Austin: “I can’t believe you.” he says as he tries to start the boat.
Austin: “Shit not now, fuck, the boat won’t crank.”
Mason: “Now of all times, dammit we have to get it started!
Austin: “I’m gonna try again” As he does the boat still won’t start.
Mason: “Shit, can you see if you can see what’s wrong with it?”
Austin spends the next 15 minutes trying everything he can think of to get the boat started, however it doesn’t want to cooperate. During that time Mason was hit by another stronger contraction, he also can feel the first twin getting lower and lower inside of him.
Mason: “Austin, I can feel one of the twins is starting to descend!”
Austin: “What, that fast, Ryder took like 12 hours to get here you’re telling me that they are coming now? It’s only been a few hours.”
Mason: “Didn’t the doc also tell us that second births tend to move quicker… oh my god I’m having our babies on this boat.”
Austin: “No you’re not, we can just swim our way back to the bank.”
Mason: “I couldn’t swim that far even if I wasn’t in labor, plus even if we do it would multiple miles back to the truck. I won’t make it. We are going to have to this on our ow… ahhh, oh god, ahhh.”
Austin: “Okay, it’s okay, we got this, we can do this” he says as he places his hand gently on Mason’s giant contracting orb of a belly. “Damn that’s a hard one.”
Mason: “It’s okay baby we can do this, I’ve already pushed out one of your babies, how much harder can 2 be?”
Austin: “God you’re so hot right now!” he says before getting hit in the nuts again. “Why do you keep doing that?”
Mason: “Maybe if I hit you in the nuts hard enough you won’t be able to do this to me again, now focus, it’s time to think with your big head, not your little one.”
Austin after recovering from the well deserved nut shot begins to lay the picnic blanket over the bench seat of the boat and cuts a beach towel in half, one half for each twin when they get here.
As time passes, Austin tries a few more things to get the boat started while Mason labors in the makeshift birthing area. Nearly 45 minutes goes by until Mason says: “I think this next one is gonna be it. It’s almost time to meet your babies.”
And right on queue after another few minutes the strongest contraction Mason has ever felt hits him like a ton of bricks and starts pushing. As he does he lets out a scream that can only be described as primal and guttural. Amazingly with this single push the head begins to peak through his hole.
Austin: “Oh my gosh babe, I can see a little bit of his head. You’re doing amazing, keep it up!” And though he meant this genuinely, to Mason it felt patronizing, to which he swiftly replied by smacking Austin right in the family jewels once more.
Mason: “Just be quiet and get ready to catch…. Uhh… aghhh” he tries to get his sentence out but is rocked by another intense wave of pain.
Riding that wave, Mason bears down and lets out a mighty roar as he manages to fully crown the baby, and within minutes he had the rest of the baby out and in Austin’s awaiting arms. But there would be no rest for Mason as the contractions keep coming and he can feel the second baby slide into place inside of his birth canal. With his cervix wide open from the first birth, there is less resistance, but Mason is tired. His pushes are weaker as are the contractions, he can feel the baby inside the birth canal is barely moving with each push.
Finally after 20 more minutes of agonizing torture, the baby makes meaningful progress and Austin can see the head just beyond his fiancés hole. As Mason continues to struggle to push the baby’s head out of his hole, he feels the burn of the stretch and then it fades as the baby keeps sliding back in. Agonizingly for Mason at this point it feels like every time he makes progress, the baby just slides back inside. This struggle continues until finally a strong contraction comes along, Mason not wanting to squander this opportunity summons up every bit of strength he has left and with one swift push he is able to get the baby’s head all the way out. As he does he finally get a bit of relief after all of the torture he had to endure.
Knowing that he still had to push out the child’s body, he couldn’t relax yet, he had to keep going, he was going to meet his baby, and he was going to do it now he thought as he somehow managed to scrap together enough strength to push the baby’s body free. As Austin wrapped the second baby in the other part of the beach towel, he placed them both on Mason’s chest. Over the course of the next 30 minutes Mason rode out the remaining contractions until finally the afterbirth was done.
Still stuck in the middle of the lake, only now with 2 newborn infants, Austin makes the decision to swim to shore for help. An hour later he returns with an ambulance and a gentleman in a boat comes up to tow them to shore. They all make their way to the hospital to get checked out where the doctor informs them that the babies are happy and healthy. She hands them the paperwork for their birth certificates and asks what they decided on for names to which Mason replies Samuel and John.
