The Pear & The Apple

I like the gritty crunch of a pear as its juice runs down my chin. Sticky explosion of wetness in my mouth and I feel it travel down and coat my insides with life.

The sharp crunch of a perfectly ripe apple, conservative with its wetness. An apple forces you to taste it. Chew through its skin, it makes you work for its nutrition. When you swallow it’s a lump that falls straight down into your belly.

Get In the Light

All they do is a good job at making you feel like you’re not good enough

All they wanna do is to make it so you stop giving a fuck

So when you’re finally sinning enough that’s when they embrace you and make you feel like you’re important

I decided not to take the hand out

Let’s be real in secret

Turn all the lights off and I’ll let you see ALL of me

I’ll let you in but please don’t come in all the way

You see I’ve got new carpeting and it’ll probably be switched out next week

So truly you can’t come in for the foreseeable future…

We can kick it on the front porch. I’ll make sure to put out some chairs.

They’ll be comfy enough but just enough wouldn’t want you over staying your welcome.

It might get a little lonely when you leave but I’ll be okay. I’ve got plenty to preoccupy my mind with when I’m alone.

Don’t think I’ll be doing anything TRULY productive but I’ll definitely be doing something.

Alone yet not alone.
