i am still not over how this tour is for us!! that announcement video does NOT make sense if you haven't been watching the streams or following along. who are these people; what is the crumpled piece of paper; why is there a chalk outline; the logo is a backwards K? most of the video isn't the 4 band members! they're not even standing center stage in the final shot!!

hey so. ray and frank have lyres on the decorative buttons on their new black parade uniforms. this is my exact niche because i am also a huge percy jackson fan but lyres are often associated with the greek god of music, apollo. they’re like. his whole symbolism thing.

gerard and mikey’s uniforms have different emblems on the buttons. mikey’s are some kind of standard eagle imagery, and i can’t entirely make out gerard’s since we have yet to get a close-up photo, but i’m positive it is not a lyre. it’s literally just. ray and frank. and the reason why probably has something to do with it being an early guitar-esque instrument. the detail this band attends to will never cease to amaze me.
