Only the most expensive of luxury cloths may touch the body of DOOM. Victor grew up poor and so when he usurped the throne and overthrew the ruling family of Latveria to become King, he made sure he only had the best, like silk pajamas and fountain pens that cost a million dollars etc.

Nobody hates that they have favorites more than LOKI.

He likes Amora. He like Lorelei. He likes Theo. He likes Mobius. He likes the horse…But he LOVES Sigyn.

He has admitted it once in the comics and likely will never again and i think that’s what makes it so juicy. Whether they will get together again or not. Doesn’t matter. He folds for her in ways he won’t for any other. (Thor issue 310-312). It’s why I don’t care that he is given other love interests and flings. Let him have his chaos, for he knows Sigyn is his anchor and he hates it. How she toys with his nature, domesticates it, by just being…her. He hates how he doesn’t stand a chance.

Maybe it’s because he doesn’t recognize himself with her, or maybe he sees what he could be, what he could have always been - loved.

Loki may have his suitors and swings. Especially after their fallout. However, no one turns him on naturally quite like Sigyn.

He can’t stand it, but his body gets naturally more nervous around her. More excited…like it expects something. Because his body knows what it can have from her.

Her curves have become a specific turn on for them, each time they see it on someone else. It’s one of the many things that make him gravitate towards Sigyn against his complete will.

He knows he’s not good enough for her as a person, but as a mate?

Genually I wish people would stop drawing Sigyn as anything other than just white. I don’t understand why you want to draw a Nordic goddess of all things yet also want to erase our pantheons race and ethnicity. Like what do you get form it??? It is important to who they are. Like I should not have to say please but please stop participating in this erasure of culture or slapping it onto something that’s clearly your personal misrepresentation of our gods.

Wanting diversity is not a crime but your not being non racist, your being insensitive and culturally appropriate.

Personally, I see a lot of value in different interpretations of Sigyn and the diversity that comes from them. It’s genuinely exciting to see how people connect with her story through their own lenses. Especially when we’re talking about Marvel and comics, there’s already a ton of flexibility in design and interpretation.

There’s also no shortage of white, blonde Sigyns out there. Fanart is interpretation, not doctrine. Marvel does it. Writers do it. Artists do it. And especially in marvel’s case, which is where a lot of these arts come from to my knowledge, mythology is just the starting point. They’ve already changed core elements: Thor and Loki are brothers, Asgard is a sci-fi space realm, etc. So what we’re doing isn’t “misrepresentation”, it’s just a different one.

I understand you want rep. There is no wrong in that. But why on gods green earth are you inserting yourself into Norse gods of all things.

Do you not see how problematic that is? I understand people want to draw and figure out on their own terms how Asgard may look bc it all is a fascinating concept within fascinating stories and many have already done it, both in a good and bad. But nevertheless It is incredibly weird to me how one would allow themselves and many others, to treat our culture like a personal play ground.

It’s clear we’re not going to change each other’s minds, and that’s okay. But this’ll probably be my last response. I do understand your frustration, but that doesn’t mean my interpretation is harmful.

Mythology isn’t a closed system. It’s been reinterpreted by scholars, storytellers, artists, and filmmakers for generations. This is true for a lot of different mythology. Your culture still exists. Your gods are not erased because someone online made art of a goddess in a body that looks like theirs. There are still spaces that interpret the gods in the way you enjoy. Trying to control how others connect with mythology is only going to lead to headache because people will always have their own interpretations of things and the way they choose to tell these stories. I use Marvel for my interpretation of Sigyn, though I also incorporate mythology and comic elements as well. I’m having fun. You’re free to ignore what doesn’t resonate with you.

Because You don’t get to knock on other people’s culture, insert yourself in their mythology’s deities and think you’re ever even the slightest bit in the right.

Last bit: I want to be clear that my intent is not to disrespect your culture or diminish your connection to it. I understand that Norse mythology holds deep meaning for many people. But what I’m engaging with isn’t historical reconstruction, it’s a creative space built around stories that have already been heavily adapted, especially in comics and film.

My interpretation of Sigyn exists in that space. I’m bringing my identity into something I love, just like many artists do. I am simply participating in a broader conversation around myth, story, and connection. You don’t have to agree with my approach.

I'm not appropriating anything. You are. As I said: gods belong to themselves and to every one. There is no "appropriating" them.

Gods are beyond that, and everyone is free to perceive them how they want.

So all artists are free to depict them in the way they imagine them.

Sigyn can be drawn as a white woman, or a POC, or a FOX- since she's a fox.

All those arts celebrate and honor her, and I'm sure she knows that and appreciate it.

Probably not any time soon. TBH, I've lost a lot of my steam when it comes to writing fanfiction. I can't help feeling like more of a content mill than a member of a community, which is not what I'm here for. I still enjoy writing and every now and then something will spark, but I'm trying to be patient with myself.

As of right now I'm more focused on my D&D characters and trying to refocus on original works. I've got another blog up if anyone wants to check that out and show me some love there.

I'm not leaving tumblr any time soon, but, unless something comes along that really sparks my creativity again, I'm not commiting myself to any particular work.
