Suzu & Jack Intro

!WARNING! SUZU & JACK CONTAINS FICTIONAL DEPICTIONS OF: child abuse, domestic violence, neglect, alcoholism, bullying, abnormal childhood psychology, and verbal abuse.

Suzu & Jack follows the tumultuous relationship between 9-year-old Suzu Fallon and his emotionally distant, alcoholic father, Jack. Trapped in a suffocating home filled with unresolved trauma, their daily lives spiral into conflict, as they grapple with isolation, abuse, and the emotional decay consuming them both.

Many of Suzu's behaviors and experiences are based on my own. Still, it is not 100% autobiographical. Suzu & Jack is a work of fiction based on experience.

Genres: Dark comedy, dramedy, psychological horror

Rating: TV-14 through TV-MA

I'm in a game jam! I'm making a metroidvania with a very talented dev who goes by wesc! It's a game about Suzu--you play as Suzu! I'm doing all the art, with frame by frame animation. Stay tuned. I have no idea what I'm doing or where this will go, but it sure is fun!

I am happy

I'm happy right now and I just want to ramble a little about it because that's really what tumblr is for. It's more fun to use all of it's features.

I'm happy because I finally enjoy my life now. At least right now, in this moment, I like my life.

I like the art I make, I like the friends I've made, I like my website, I like where I think my life is headed. I'm mentally stable--an amazing feeling.

After being in pain for so long it really feels like relief.

Extras Below the Cut:

Took me awhile to draw the truck interior but I'm proud of how it turned out. Of course I used ref to draw it and I think you can tell, but no harm, that's the nature of art. Reference, reference, reference. I realized while lost in thoughts at work that Suzu is so small he'd still need a booster seat. I remember those days. Really took myself back with this one, idk why it's making me feel nostalgic.

The truck should really be much messier but background art is not my strength if you couldn't tell. Still I don't have money to pay someone for it so I have to do it myself. Forces me to learn anyway.
