The decision was made a long time ago. Before any of us knew each other. When we were all strangers, who would have just passed each other on the street before the world ended. And now we mean everything to each other. You were in trouble, you were trapped. Glenn didn’t know you, but he helped you. He put himself in danger for you, and that started it all. From Atlanta, to my Daddy’s farm, to the prison, to here. To this moment now, not as strangers, as family. Because Glenn chose to be there for you, that day, a long time ago, that was the decision that changed everything. It started with both of you, and it just grew, to all of us, to sacrifice for each other, to suffer, to stand, to grieve, to give, to love, to live, to fight for each other.

You’re a fighter and you never give up. So fight, Rick. Fight for me. Fight for all of us.

Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 5 | What Comes After
Every day since I put Negan in that cell I have this moment, usually right when I wake up, this feeling that I should go down there and kill him. To keep going, finish them all. And in that moment, it’s all I want. But, then, I remember everyone we’ve lost, not just to the Saviors. But the whole way. And I know I need to honor them. To build life, not take it. Because it’s us or the dead. And every life counts now.

@DanaiGurira: It is almost impossible to describe how I feel about this man. He was beyond a hero, beyond a gem, he was the dearest treasure one could hope to know. I am so thankful to have had the honor to work with him & to call him my friend. RIP Mr. Wilson, your light has enriched us all.
You’ve done something amazing with this place. And I didn’t come to say otherwise. I know what you came to do.
It was a hard day. Hardest we’ve had in awhile. A man lost his arm. Project’s behind schedule. People were at each other’s throats. Thing is, though, bad as it was, when the day was done, they came together. Not all of ‘em, but enough. They chose to be together. You see what I’m getting at? No matter what happens, it’s human nature to come together. That’s just what we do.

I was scared back there. I was, too. I’m glad you’re okay.
The Walking Dead Rewatch: 2.01
Sounds like good times. Oh, the best. You’ll see. You’d be a great dad.
Man, there ain’t no “us” anymore. Everyone’s everywhere. That small group we had back in the beginning… We could do anything. That was right. That’s what I know.
