Gem Elixir
“As crystals have powerful vibrations, it is easy to transfer these vibrations to water. Gem remedies, also known as elixirs or essences, can be taken internally-unless the stone is toxic. They can also be applied to the skin or put into bathwater. Remedies such as Black Tourmaline can be put into a mister in water and sprayed in the room.” ~Judy Hall (The Crystal Bible 2003)
3 Ways to Craft Gem Elixirs:
Method One:
Place cleansed crystal in a bowl or glass of distilled water. Charge all day in sunlight. For stones that are susceptible to fading, charge overnight in the light of the full moon. This method is best for stones that are non-friable, such as clear quartz, and should never be used with toxic stones like malachite. If there is any doubt in your mind about a stones toxicity, please DO NOT USE THIS METHOD. (example pictured left)
Method Two:
Place a small bowl inside of a larger bowl or dish. Put cleansed crystal inside the smaller bowl and add distilled water to the larger bowl or dish. Charge all day in sunlight (non-fading stones) or all night in full moonlight (fading stones). This is an excellent indirect method for smaller stones that are toxic and/or friable. (example pictured center)
Method Three:
Fill a bowl with distilled water. Surround your bowl with the cleansed crystals of your choice and charge all day in the sunlight (non-fading stones) or all night in the full moon (fading stones). This method is also indirect and safe for friable and toxic stones, but requires you have enough crystals to surround the bowl. (example pictured right)
Storage and Usage
Once your elixir has charged all day (or night), you have a mother tincture which should be added to more water inside of a blue or amber glass bottle and stored in a cool, dark place. If storing beyond a week, add 1/3 base of vodka or grain alcohol to discourage bacteria growth.
Gem elixirs are vibrationally potent. You can add them to aura/cleansing sprays, put some in your bathwater, throw some into a jar spell as a crystal correspondence, and even dress spell candles with them.
Though Judy says it’s safe to ingest the non-toxic elixirs, I’m just gonna say this: Please do your research and please ingest ONLY AT YOUR OWN RISK. There is a lot of wonky information out there and I’d hate to see something terrible happen to someone on account of identifying something as safe when it’s actually not. That being said, gem elixirs are super fun and versatile in their usages, even without ingesting them. Enjoy!

🌊🌙🐚moon and ocean witch’s personal mermaid dust🐚🌙🌊
So I thought I would make a jar of mermaid dust to bring along with me wherever I go, also to put in my travel altar!
The point of it is to feel like I always have a little bit of the beach/ocean with me, as well as feeling close to my kin! 🐬
So here’s what’s in it:
✯(dry) beach sand
✯crushed various seashells I found myself
✯sea salt
✯incense ash
✯(dry) seaweed
How I made it:
✯spend a day at the beach 🏖
✯crush the seashells with either a mortar if you have one, or just use a rock (please be careful you get all the pieces as they could give you a nasty scrape on the foot if you step on it!)
✯mix in the sand, shell pieces, salt, ashes and seaweed (I bought mine at the grocery store!)
✯seal with wax if needed, or if you have a jar with a cork like mine, you’re good to go!
Happy swimming (: 🐚🐬🌊
Bonus: if you’re an Extra Sea Witch™, use a sea shell to scoop out your ingredients!
final product!
It’s not often that I add my commentary to these things, but I love this. For us landlocked sea lovers, this would be amazing!
💖🌹✨Love attraction spell ✨🌹💖
Here is a love spell I made today.
I used two candles for this : a pink one (for it attracts love and affection, represents femininity) and a red one (love, passion and strength, represents masculinity). I started by charging all of the ingredients with white sage to purify them. After that, I lighted both of the candles and used a pink ribbon to unite them. On a piece of paper, I wrote what possibly stopped me from finding love, and I burned it. I’m gonna keep the ashes that I rinsed with moon water and will litter it in seven days. I charged some rose quartz and placed it on my altar to call for love. My love number (that I calculated thanks to my date of birth) is 7. I placed 7 dry rose buds (that come from morocco hayyy) and a piece of ginger on my altar as well, and everyday for 7 days I’m gonna burn dragon’s blood incense, which is used a lot in love rituals. Funny enough, I didn’t know where to stick my incense, so I used a sweet potato to do so. After some researches, I found out sweet potato had love magical properties hahaha I am gonna take one rose bud, the crystal and the ginger with me everyday in a velvet pouch, during a week. And I’ll charge these items everyday with the dragon’s blood incense. I might throw some love grain incense in that pouch too. At the end of the seventh day, I will undo the pink ribbon, bless it and the candles and keep it with me for as long as I feel is necessary.
Will keep you updated on that. xx

Witchy Weekend Flicks!
Watching some movies on a Saturday night, whether with friends or alone, is tons of fun. You can whip up some fantastic snacks and wrap yourself in a blanket. So sit down because here’s the show.
1. Practical Magic. Seriously if you haven’t seen this yet, what are you doing? Sandra Bullock literally slays in this movie. It has the all-out witchy vibe you’ve been dying for. Plus, it’s good enough to watch again.
2. The Craft. Now, I’m pretty sure basically every witch has watched this one, but who cares? Frankly, it is brilliant and a total classic. Let your 90′s passion fill your heart. It’s also a great movie to fall asleep to pretty much every night.
3. Kiki’s Delivery Service. I own this movie and let me just say-it is worth every compliment that has come its way (and more). The animation is incredibly stunning and the characters are vivacious and relatable. The plot is innocent and inspiring, and don’t even get me started on Kiki’s house in the beginning.
4. The Love Witch. Reminiscent of 70′s technicolor bursts, this movie is a must watch. Everything about it looks like they actually filmed the movie during the 70′s, from the gorgeous witch house (you’ll know what I’m talking about) to the cover.
5. Howl’s Moving Castle. Although it isn’t strictly based off of witches, this movie is bursting at the seams with all the magic you’ve been looking for. Wizards and witches pretty much dominate the Waste. Howl himself knows some pretty dang impressive magic (like, really dang impressive magic). All the spells and potions will make you drool!
6. Hocus Pocus. Do I even need to put this in here? If you haven’t seen it, just. Yeah. You need to see this movie like right now.
Hope you loved this post and if you want more like it, please request. In the meantime, have fun and happy bewitching!
yes we want moooore

Is a performer, writer, or artist….is self-employed or is in a position of leadership.
Communicates in a way that inspires and motivates people.·… has a sense of urgency, feeling as if he or she is running out of the time necessary to accomplish major dreams and goals.·
Has a strong desire to travel, especially globally…. seems to have a million ideas or visions he or she wants to accomplish in this lifetime…. often feels overwhelmed and scattered. Violets tend to multitask.·
Talks a lot. Violets need to communicate, and often words of wisdom pour forth as if they were teachers or philosophers…. talks about what he or she “sees,” “dreams,” or “envisions.“·
Discusses global, political, humanitarian, or social concerns often…. is involved or wants to be involved in humanitarian causes or charities…. cares about animals, especially exotic or global animals.·
Seems older or wiser than his or her years. Violets often appear physically older or more mature….tends to be a serious and deep thinker… feels very deeply and has strong emotions.·
Believes that accomplishing his or her dreams is ultimately more important than, or at least equally important as, relationships…. has little desire to be a stay-at-home parent…. Violets sense that, in time, they will need to be out in the world making a difference.·

Can become easily depressed or sullen, often feeling that he or she is not like other people.
Purple hues
Purple is associated with the pituitary gland, pineal gland and the nervous system. Purple: indicates spiritual thoughts. Purple is never a strong point in the Aura. It appears only as temporary “clouds” and “flames”, indicating truly spiritual thoughts.
Violet - You are a visionary of the highest level. You’re someone who can daydream and change the world with spiritual love.
Indigo - You get glimpses into other worlds and are a wise seeker.

It’s Handfasting Season
Handfasting is on the rise for couples who are looking to tie the knot.
I saw that some of you lovely people were getting married, so here are some tips on handfasting ceremony.
Plan as far ahead as you possibly can…especially if you are writing your own vow and such. This creates less stress on you and the clergyman.
Consider how long your ceremony is. If you want elderly and children involved then half an hour to an hour should suffice otherwise you might want to consider chairs.
If you want a circle keep in mind how big your space may need to be. Calling the corners, dancing and spinning need a lot of space.
If you want to have your ceremony outdoors-fantastic. Many pagans and wiccan do this, however, parks may need a reservation or paper work might need to be done.
Respect the public space you might be in. If no food or open flames are allowed try a different place or hold the reception else where that accommodates this.
Having non-pagan/wiccan friends to the ceremony, prep them what may or may not be happening. Let them know that they don’t have to do anything that makes them uncomfortable. It’s a good idea that if you are doing a circle to have chairs just outside so they can watch instead.
So, many blessings in the years that come in your newly partnered life.
Blessed Be!

How To: Bless an Object
Here are multiple methods of blessings objects, feel free to add your own, and I’ll credit you!
#1: Simply Meditate:
The method I favour is to infuse the object with my personal energy whilst meditating. You infuse it with love, with the intentions you have if it and so on. I hold the object in my hands of between my legs as I meditate and focus it there.
#2: Smoke:
Simply pass the objects through the smoke of an incense for a few minutes. Look into each properties of incenses to better use them. Practical for paper or parchment.
#3: Anointment:
Anoint the object with either a mix of essential oils (or one single one), a herbal brew (either a tea made for those purposes or a mixture made for that.). You can do so by making a specific symbol while doing it, like drawing a pentagram with the oil.
#4: Burial:
I’ve done it twice and it’s a powerful but lengthy process. Bury the object in a place that means a lot to you, I prefer doing it under a tree, and ask the earth to bless it. I left it six months, but do as you feel. You may draw a symbol on the earth where you buried it.
#5: The Moon:
On a full moon, ask the moon to bless the object and leave it on the window sill, under the moonlight.
#6: Music:
Use a singing bowl, or bells or instruments to really soak your object with the blessing. Or sing yourself, words of blessings or just humming. High notes heal and bring about a higher vibration.
#7: Crystals:
Make a grid of crystals around the object and the the crystals bless it. Most commonly used would be crystal quartz.
#8: A Spell There is an infinity of blessing spells out there. Find the one that suits you best.
But most importantly, while doing any of these or you own techniques, remember to: a) State your intent. Your words are a vibration that will begin to bless the object before you even start anything. b) Get yourself in a calm state of mind. I don’t see the point of having a big get up for a simple spell (big rituals, yes, but one spell, no.), so without necessarily casting a circle, lighting 20 candles and and surrounding yourself with salt, just meditate a bit, calm your mind. Because you will also be blessing it with your own energy, even if you ask for the help of a deity. c) Use your own energy. That’s your most powerful tool. More than anything else. You are the most powerful tool in witchcraft.
Feel free to share your experiences with me by tagging me or adding to this post!
To Reduce Callousness in Another Person
You need: - an egg - a crayon/marker/pencil - a glass jar - 12 oz. or so of vinegar
Write the name of the person on the egg with the writing implement. Pour enough vinegar in the jar to fully submerge the egg. Gently drop the egg into the vinegar and let it soak until the shell becomes translucent and gelatinous, turning as needed. When this has been accomplished, pour out the vinegar and bury the egg in the earth.
