Camelot - Eva Green as Morgana Pendragon wearing a black velvet dress with gold decoration on the bodice and lace sleeves, plus a black and gold brocade robe.
The costumes were designed by Joan Bergin.
Cinderella (2015) - Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine wearing a green satin evening gown with draped bodice, accessorized with gold lame opera gloves and gold and emerald jewellery.
The costume designer Sandy Powell explained: “She has patted structured shoulders. She has a pointed bosom, which you wouldn’t normally get in a corset from that period. No, it’s definitely a 1940’s take on 19th century. It’s like the 1940’s getting the 19th century wrong. It’s a bit like the 1950’s getting it wrong.”
As for the colour of the clothes worn by Blanchett: “There is a lot of green. Cate’s colors are all cool colors. None of them are friendly colors. I wanted her to have black but not be predominantly black. I didn’t want to go like that with a villain. So, it was blacks with strong cool colors, strong jewel-like cool colors that were sort of expressive.“
Holy shit-o-rama, the costumes for Disney’s “Cinderella”…!!!!!
Designer Sandy Powell and the costume workshops has done an outstanding job reimagining the costumes everyone knows so well. Haute Couture meets fairytale meets historical fashion, and it all just looks… awesome. Read some insights here:

Hey sweetlings! I’m selling my beautiful Elven-style wedding gown that I wore when getting married to my ex, and could really use your help in spreading the word since, to be honest, money is kind of tight these days and I am trying to save up for upcoming trips and conventions, as well as materials for cosplay. So any reblogs would be most appreciated, and if any of you know of anyone who might be interested I would be forever grateful if you could let them know about this! I ship internationally for free :)
Here’s the listing on Ebay!
Trying again to sell this, the price has been reduced from $845 to $500! I’d be so happy if you could please share this and help me out :)
