Astro Observations #1

I finally bit the bullet and launched an astrology account. Hope it resonates :)

Fifth house moons are lighthearted, joyful, and emotionally spontaneous. They can put others in a good mood, and people typically enjoy spending time with them. Romantics. Could enjoy the early stages of dating, romance books/movies, and talking about their love life or the love lives of people around them. Might quickly develop crushes or enjoy the feeling of having a crush. Their mother could have been dramatic, theatrical, popular, creative, volatile, or childish (depending on the sign/aspects.) She also could have given them a lot of freedom growing up. If they choose to have children, they may have a gentle, nurturing, intuitive, and supportive parenting style. Good with children in general.

Scorpio rising/Leo midheaven finds career success in the public eye, but they can fear being exposed. Others can see them as naturally glamorous, intriguing, and charismatic, but they feel shy. “Thrust into the spotlight” energy. Pressure to gain comfortability with being vulnerable/seen by others. (Ex. Jackie Kennedy) If they pursue art/a creative field, they may feel hesitant about putting themselves into their work, but it can actually bring them a lot of success. There could also be a subversive or even campy quality to their public image.

Capricorn Mercuries are witty, articulate, insightful, and earnest. Good listeners and advice givers. Mentors. They do what they say they’re going to do. They usually know exactly what is going on with the people around them and can deliver crazy reads.

Cancer Mercuries are sweet and typically soft-spoken. Emotionally intelligent. Melodic voice. Thoughtful. Could be shy, or people could talk over them. (Ex. Taylor Russel)

Gemini/Cancer energy is so messy but so entertaining. They are gossips that everyone loves. (Ex. Andy Cohen)

Taurus Mars' approach to work can echo “an object in motion stays in motion, an object at rest stays at rest.” It may be hard to get started. Actively maintains passiveness/tries to push away change or unpredictability. Will try to stay in a situation after they outgrow it because they find comfort in familiarity. Habit-forming. Values career stability, material comfort, and diligent effort. Set in their goals and values once they determine them. It can be difficult for them to back down from an argument or admit when they’re wrong.

Pisces Mars’ passivity is different—they can have a tendency to go wherever the wind takes them. Goes along with other people’s wants and won’t put up much of a fight. Cries when angry, and anger can be felt more as hurt or disappointment. Being too in their head can stop them from standing strong in what they want/taking action towards it. Creatively ambitious. Typically popular in high school, or at least involved in clubs, organizations, and group activities. Capacity to achieve recognition within their community.

Tenth house moons set the energy in a room. When they’re upset, people can usually tell. Their mood can influence the moods of others, and people may find them sensitive because their emotions appear amplified/projected. Their friends will care deeply for them and want to protect them. People may be jealous of them or project ideas/character traits onto them. Others may see them as compassionate, shy, melancholy, or reserved. They want a job that emotionally fulfills them, and their emotions are heavily tied into or impacted by their job. They can be especially sensitive to criticism at work. They are emotionally invested in their goals, which cultivates a strong sense of ambition—above all else, they don’t want to disappoint themselves.

Scorpio risings are hard to read, cool, alluring, and intimidating. Others perceive them as difficult to impress, which may be offputting to some, but makes others want to try even harder to befriend them. There can be a sense of exclusivity around who they choose to spend their time with, their inner circle, etc. Typically won’t say much about themselves when you first meet them, although people sense their depth/assume there’s something more to them. Annoying Synastry

Mercury square Ascendant: the ASC person might feel purposefully misunderstood by the Mercury person. The Mercury person’s comments might offend ASC person without them meaning to. The Mercury person’s words clash with the ASC person’s self-perception.

Moon square Mercury: this one is obvious, but communication just feels off. Even if you energetically resonate with one another, the Moon person doesn’t feel emotionally fulfilled by what the Mercury person is actually saying. Conversations can feel somewhat unsatisfying to the Moon person on a heart level—maybe like there’s always something left unspoken. Very frustrating, especially when compatibility is high elsewhere.

Moon in the 6th House: the House person might feel like they need to cater to/tip toe around the Moon person’s emotions. They might feel pressured to orchestrate their day-to-day life around the Moon person’s feelings, which can lead to resentment. If positively aspected, though, this can lead to a caring and considerate dynamic—very “acts of service” oriented.

Moon in the 12th House: psychic, soulmate vibes for sure. However, the Moon person’s emotions are literally a mystery to the House person most of the time, which can lead to the Moon person feeling misunderstood, unseen, or unconsidered.

Venus square Uranus: the ultimate push-pull dynamic. The Venus person is at risk of being breadcrumbed by the Uranus person, who doesn’t typically want to be “reigned in,” leading to relationship instability or a lack of commitment. This is typically more painful for the Venus person—especially since these two tend to separate and come back together again and again.

Astro Observations #4

Aries suns address interpersonal problems head-on—they’re honest, especially when something upsets them. It can be refreshing because they don’t play games (they don’t have the patience to lol). There can be something almost innocent in their free expression of excitement and joy. They are very encouraging of the people around them, the kind of friend that celebrates your achievements. They can sometimes argue for fun—Aries men especially yearn for debate team.

Gemini risings can match the energy of whoever they’re hanging out with—although it can be a little obvious that they’re trying to match your energy, when is why people sometimes call them “two-faced” (Libra risings are honestly more two-faced, I say as a Libra rising lmfao). They’re witty, thoughtful, and good conversationalists. They can get into a habit of agreeing with whoever they’re talking to, usually because they can look at a situation from several points of view. As a niche observation, they could also take good care of their nails.

Cancer sun men, when unhealthy, can overcompensate on masculinity because they believe they should resonate with it more than they actually do. More complex emotions might be expressed as anger. “Strong man” front, but they’ll probably throw tantrums. They might get defensive/reject more “feminine traits,” but only because they sense them within themselves and they’re uncomfortable with it… (Ex. Elon Musk)

Taurus suns usually have something going on with their relationship to food—whether it be simply enjoying cooking/fine dining, diet hopping, etc. (Sometimes pop astrology is correct.) They’re reliable, firm in their values, and typically aren’t afraid to tell it like it is. They can be a source of comfort and grounding to those around them. They don’t like it when their routine gets messed up and can be pretty averse to change.

Leo risings usually have something going on with their hair. They could have the classic “lion’s mane,” or just take good care of it/focus on it a lot. They’re typically good at making others feel comfortable—they give off a solid, accepting energy that makes people feel safe to open up to them. They stand up for themselves and the people they care about. They have a strong presence in a room and can be seen as dependable, confident, or sure of themselves.

Saturn in the 10th house has tremendous capacity for success. However, they need to put in work. When they display consistent effort, they can reach the top of their field. Although it can take a bit longer to see results, they always reap what they sow.

Neptune/Moon trine North Node has a powerful inner compass. From a young age, they might have innately known the steps they needed to take to achieve their “destiny”/greatest potential. They usually have a grand vision for their lives. Strong intuition in regards to themselves and their path. Although most people fear the themes of their north node placement, Neptune/Moon trine NN might feel an innate sense of comfortability with them or a willingness to explore. Neptune in the 6th house can sometimes deal with elusive health problems. It might take them a long time to get a diagnosis for something, doctors may not believe them/take their symptoms seriously, or they could deal with symptoms that go away and come back. Went heavy on 11th house energy for this one 🫣

Moon opposite Mercury can be a frustrating aspect to have because it may feel difficult to say what you mean or express your emotions authentically. Or, when you do express yourself, it can feel like people don’t listen or understand you. You might learn to articulate your feelings in unique, unconventional, or innovative ways. People with this aspect might also process their emotions non-verbally, such as through art or exercise.

Libra rising/Cancer midheavens are nurturing and sweet to the people around them. May be soft-spoken or reserved on first impression or in large groups. People with these placements can have an almost ethereally feminine style. Generally well put-together and up to date on fashion trends. In their career, there can be a lot of options available to them, but they’ll generally gravitate towards something that emotionally fulfills them/feels meaningful. One of my biggest opps as a Libra rising and it’s not talked about enough. No routine. Room is a mess. Mental health issues. No sleep. GET ME OUTTA HERE. On the bright (?) side, it’s giving the friend that never washes their face and goes to sleep with make up on yet still has perfect skin.

Analyzing Carolyn Bessette and JFK Jr.’s Synastry 🪐

This one is interesting. In my opinion, Carolyn’s natal chart placements likely would have played a big role in their relationship dynamic—her Aquarius Venus in retrograde specifically, which may be somewhat detached or guarded in love due to past disappointments or conditioning. Natives with this placement may date around, but when feelings start to develop, they can get scared. Internalized fears of abandonment, rejection, or a loss of autonomy might come up—but ultimately, Venus in retrograde natives crave love and understanding intensely.

John’s Venus sign is comically different from Carolyn’s. With his Capricorn Venus conjunct Saturn, this is a man that craves traditional, committed partnership—even if it takes him a while to get there (Saturn conjunct Venus can also imply setbacks in love.) Before Carolyn, I wouldn’t be surprised if John also experienced a string of unhealthy or karmic relationships due to his Venus-Pluto and Venus-Saturn aspects.

Looking at their bi-wheel synastry chart, it is likely that the chemistry between them was undeniable and instant. Carolyn’s Pluto conjuncts John’s ascendant—on first impression, he likely found her mysterious and magnetizing, or maybe even a bit intimidating. His mars also conjuncts her moon—which can indicate palpable, heady attraction. Typically, the mars person pursues the moon person and could feel protective over them. The moon person could feel a heightened sense of vulnerability around the mars person, but also look to them for safety. The moon person typically puts a lot of trust in the mars person, which the mars person appreciates. It’s also worth mentioning that this aspect can lead to some emotional volatility in a relationship. A note about Scorpio…

This specifically refers to Scorpio suns, although some themes can be present wherever you have Scorpio energy in your chart!

Scorpios are SPONGES. Even if they seem detached from their environment, they are observing and absorbing everything. This sign can be very impacted by what they witness because they internalize it. Others can usually sense that they carry a lot, but the native likely won’t want to talk about it. Very selective with who they open up to—it can be intimidating to “shine a light” on past experiences. Might imagine that their past makes them bad, wrong, or irreparably damaged in some way—which is untrue. Venus-Mars bestows an air of confidence and allure. Even if the native doesn’t feel confident—particulary in romance—others will imagine that they are. Gives a natural charisma.

Venus-ASC and Venus-MC natives are known for their beauty. Could make money for it, especially with the MC—a big model aspect. Venus-MC could also go into a career involving art and aesthetics. Inherently charming and gracious. Energetically attractive. Typically leaves a great impression on others, but could also attract jealousy.

Venus-Neptune is rose-colored glasses in romance. Natives could martyr themselves for their partners, and could be attracted to people who need “fixing.” Lets bad behavior slide in the name of love, and could have a difficult time staying firm in their boundaries. Sensitive, compassionate, intuitive, romantic, and self-sacrificial. When healthy, the native can show their partners profound unconditional love and understanding.
