I CACKLE at the idea that Kris is absolutely in love with Berdly and the soul just hates the guy, which constantly drives Kris UP THE WALL.

There’s tiiiny Kerdly crumbs and flavor text in different places but it’s revealed in chapter 5 that Berdly writes Kris (love) poems every February?? Kris just has one of Berdly’s feathers and BLUSHES when Susie asks how they got it????

Every interaction the soul has with Berdly frames it in an annoying light and our options towards Berdly are usually mocking or rude, meanwhile Kris is banging their head against the virtual wall watching while we fumble their bag.

Anyway it’s my crackhead theory that Kris doesn’t gaf what the soul does about the dark world, they’re just PISSED that we are actively ruining their chances with Berdly.
