Kris x Berdly (WEIRD ROUTE AU)

(SPOILERS FOR WEIRD ROUTE)

Kris sighed finally getting to a difficult area after running and dodging cars on the road Berdly behind them following to the best of his abilities. They found themselves in a hidden corner of the map left with a hallway and a dumpster, "Kris..why are we here there like nothing here, if you want I can lead the way!" Kris quickly shook their head as they walked over towards the dumpster, opening the lid and seeing something at the bottom curious they wanted to take a closer look. Berdly groaned quietly wanting to move on since he saw no point in searching through trash since it's well...TRASH. He looked over at Kris once again just to see them halfway into the dumpster. "K-Kris!? What on earth are you doing!" Kris squirmed slightly before falling into the dumpster grabbing what they had seen, a dark silver ring wrapped in thorns he held it poking at the thorns a bit as it quickly made light work of their armor and poked into their finger they hissed quietly before Berdly opened the lid propping it open with his axe. "Kris! Are you ok?!" They fumbled slightly quickly grabbing the rind to hide it in their palm slightly wincing as it stabbed into their skin they looked up at berdly as the soul forced words out of their mouth. "I'm fine." Kris quickly crawled out of the mostly empty dumpster blood clearly dripping from their hand. Berdly quickly noticed the blood dripping from their hand, "Kris! You're bleeding! Gah let me..," *Kris turned around and halted him.

Give Berdly the ring.

Kris tried to fight the soul their body moving on its own as they grabbed Berdly's hand. They bit their lip roughly trying anything to stop their actions. "K-Kris?" Berdly's voice dripped with worry. He looked down at Kris's hand holding his own, watching as Kris slowly brought up their other hand to reveal the cause of the blood dripping the Thorn ring.

Kris dropped to one knee unable to stop themselves from completing the action. They held Berdly's hand with such care and affection although they were about to force this ring onto him. "Is..is that for me..?" Berdly's beak managed to say under his breath trying to understand why Kris wasn't looking him in the eyes anymore. Kris felt his tears welling up as he 'equipped' it onto berdly. Berdly winced as his body was frozen watching Kris look like they were struggling. Kris watched the ring sit nicely around Berdly's finger before it slightly glowed and stabbed further into his finger like a locking mechanism. Berdly hissed quietly at the pain feeling his blood dripping from around his finger.

using my perception, i noticed a recurring tag at the bottom of your posts known simply as 'kerdly'. could this be an abbreviation of some sort? or something else mayhaps?

i'm sure that whatever it is, it is very smart.

Currently thinking about a weird route exclusive scenario post chp 5 where Berdly inadvertently finds out about the dark world after following Susie (since she’s the only lead on Noelle and also probably to check on her because despite his general dumbassery I don’t believe he’s actually blind enough to miss that’s she’s probably hurting pretty bad.) and having to reckon with the fact that his maybe only friend almost froze him to death at the behest of Kris. And now both of them are missing so he can’t even confront either of them about it.

so anyway, yeah, that’s kind of fucking me up a little tonight
