Tales of Halloween: Season of The Witch

Alright everyone, it's now October 31st. During the spookiest time of the year there are a few guidelines all ghosts and goblins should follow.

Always stay on sidewalks

Never go into a stranger's house

Always hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.

Always check your candy.

Always wear a costume.

NEVER blow out a Jack O'Lantern before midnight.

Always respect the Dead.

NEVER take down your decorations before November 1st

NEVER harm the innocent

It might sound simple enough but the rules must never be broken. You never know which evil spirit, powerful witch or entity you might offend if you don't. And I know it's hard to believe that supernatural forces are at play, but don't forget. Tonight's the night that the veil between this world and the other is almost non-existent. But fear not. Sometimes a simple candy can solve the problem, You do your Trick, you get your Treat. I hope you all stay safe until the morning of November 1st.

Zoe gasped at the news. It was...terrible, terrible news. But how could she tell Madison? "Oh my God...." she just stuttered "Madison I.... shit... what are you gonna do?" She finally asked. She couldn't start thinking of ways of getting rid of the baby if she didn't want to... but the son of the Antichrist... it was a potential disaster.

Madison had to tell someone the news. She was going crazy and other people, namely behold, had started noticing. And Zoe seemed as good an option as any to vent about it. "I don't know. I will have to tell him eventually. Before he notices" She puffed. "This is not what I imagined. This was not part of the plan."

"you're... you're keeping it?" Zoe was clearly surprised about Madison keeping the child. She had never thought of her as a mom, and knew Madison didn't see herself as a future mother so... yeah, it clearly wasn't in the plans...

"I can help you with it, you know. If that's not what you want... he never has to know"

Madison never really thought that had the disposition for motherhood. It wasn't something she felt she needed in her life. And now she was faced with the reality of it. "I don't know Zoe" She shook her head. She really didn't know what to do.

"He is the fucking Antichrist Zoe. He is gonna know. And then be mad because I lied to him. And I don't think it's really...fair"

"Madison, it could be dangerous, it could be... bad." There she said it. She didn't know how else to explain it and she felt bad for having to say it too. But someone had to.

"Fair? It's your choice. And you never wanted children. Having a kid with him is a really, really bad idea. I'm sorry" she insisted as she hoped Madison would listen to her.

Dating the Antichrist was a bad idea. Falling in love with the Antichrist was a bad idea. having a kid with him was definitely a bad idea. But at least there was a natural progression there. "Yeah, I know. It's my body." Madison wanted to punch a screen whenever that stupid commercial played.

"I am not saying I want kids. But I am not saying I don't want it either. I don't know how I feel about it. And I don't want to lie to him either." Madison sighed. "Besides, i doubt whatever spell or herb you are thinking about is gonna work on an actual hellspawn."

Zoe couldn't comment on that as she knew what Madison was talking about, and it was better not to say anything. But then she said it herself.

"An actual hellspawn! So you know what's gonna happen! How can you let it happen!?" Now she was looking at her like she was kind of irresponsible "just let me gather the others and we'll help you all together"

Madison really didn't like the way Zoe was looking at her. Like she was crazy. Like she hadn't been considering all the things Zoe had been telling her ever since she got that test. "and there I thought that not lying to your significant other would be the mature and responsible thing to do." she just commented.

"I don't know what's gonna happen. I always thought I would make a dreadful mother if my kid wasn't cool or good looking but the odds are in our favor for that. Cool magic powers and great looks." She shrugged again. "You are not gonna tell anyone. Not Cordelia. Not Myrtle. Not anyone. Not until I have talked to Micahel."

Zoe took a breath. "I just think this isn't the right moment to be honest about it, Madison. What are you gonna do if he wants it, and you don't? Haven't you thought he's way more powerful than you and could force you to do whatever he wanted?" Zoe insisted as she wanted Madison to open her eyes. It was a scary thought, but she really thought that it would be awful for her.

"You never wanted to be a mother, and now you want to be the mother to the Antichrist's son? Do you even know what you're doing?"
