Trembling like a dying leaf, the poor pupstays exactly where the garbage shoot hasdistributed him, unable to move or do muchelse but whimper in tiny, broken sobs becausethey won’t stop &&. he’s in absolute ＳＨＯＣＫ.He keeps seeing them, his parents, his caring,wonderful mother &&. father who loved him morethan anything in this world ——— he keeps seeing thatＳＣＡＲＹ, horrible human as he steals them awayforever, their voices echoing in his small ears, pleading,screaming for help, for ＨＩＭ ;; he keeps seeing that huge metal monster carrying them up, up, &&. further still, carrying them into the sky. ＷＩＴＨＯＵＴ ＨＩＭ . He’s being left behind &&. he can’t do anything to savehis parents whom he loved more than anything in thisworld. Who were gone, taken from his side just like that.But just as he’s about to start crying again, somethingapproaches him in that dank, dark alley. &&. he’sfilled with panic all over again, wanting to cry harder&&. call out for his mother ——— but then his shiveringbody is scooped up by careful, warm, soft hands, &&.it’s enough to make him curious, tears halting so that hecan……………..look up into a human woman’s plump,rosy face, her glasses round like her cheeks. He smellspeaches &&. honey, warm &&. inviting like a hug, as wellas dirt, the kind he always loved digging up from gardens.She cradles him to her soft chest, cooing like momma usedto when it stormed……The scent of peaches fills this orphanedpuppy’s chest &&. he instantly relaxes, smiling with tell-taletears clinging to the corners of his eyes as he buries his nose&&. face into her…[ I’ll call you Courage. We’ll have a grand time. ]
