You didn’t spend all your Easter break practicing for Quidditch did you?
Would you believe me if I said no?
How do they laugh- how often, how loud, what does it sound like?
How does who they laugh? I mean, I laugh a lot, I think. Laughing is good. I mean, if it’s really funny, I can laugh pretty loud but I try not to be... obnoxious about it, I guess. And it sounds like a laugh? I don’t know. I never pay attention.
Hopefully. There’s various charms for all of that, yes. Warming charm before and drying charm after should do the trick. If you happen to practice in the rain again. She is, but it’s nothing we haven’t done before. Definetly interesting.
Quidditch won’t be that fun if it doesn’t. Jeez, you’re good with charms, huh? I always forget which one I’m supposed to use or get distracted. But thanks. I’ll look them up before I go out if I do. At least it’ll stop the cold. Yeah, I don’t think she would be the type to let you slack off. And you don’t get anywhere without hard work. No hard feelings if we win?
What are you afraid of - not a phobia, but something you don’t really want in your life?
I mean, I guess this brotherhood of evil or whatever they’re called? But I don’t think anyone wants them in their life. Not with all the destruction they’re causing. It’s pretty frightening to think that something could happen to mum next.
I hope it’ll help at least. We’ll find out soon. I hope he was happy to spend it with me.
We’re gonna beat Ravenclaw, don’t worry, Lily. I mean, we might not be as amazing as we were the previous years, but we can pull it off, we have to. Are you sad about having to come back then?
Where do you tend to look when on the move?
In front of me? Where do people usually look when walking?
Well, it’s a bit of a balance: we certainly need rain to feed the plant life and replenish the water sources– lakes and rivers and such– but we don’t want to be flooded, right? Well, you will definitely be prepared if the weather doesn’t improve for your next match at least, and no one will know who is tracking water if the entire school is soaked from watching and/or playing. That’s a good point: I imagine finding your ball is easier than hers under normal conditions: this way would be especially tricky. I know: I suppose I’m just lamenting that it doesn’t immediately become nicer as soon as spring appears. No: do not push me into a lake. Go find some girl you fancy and push her into a lake, since that’s apparently how it works, but not me. Well, so long as they’re not flobberworms, I don’t really have a problem with her having her fun. And yes: I like to actually tend the plants while she has her fun. If I could find a way to make weeds look like prey, perhaps I could entice her to help me more efficiently, but alas. Well, making the effort deserves recognition, I feel.
Glad to make things easier. It’s too bad you can’t simply Apparate back to the castle: that would save some trouble. I suppose it is short for a holiday, and really all you’re doing is trying to catch up for the double-time classes are going to move in the minute it’s over. I’m not sure how he feels: perhaps he usually spends his time with Wayne: they’re old colleagues, right?
I guess so. Everything in this world needs a balance. Too much is never a good thing. Yeah, hard work pays off. It will be nice to not have to take the blame for all the water. Sometimes I’m really happy I decided to not be a seeker. It doesn’t always seem that much fun and there’s a lot of pressure. Did you ever think of playing Quidditch? True, but the longer it takes to be nice, the more worth it seems, doesn’t it? Alright, alright, I won’t. Wait, why would I push a girl I fancy in the lake? That seems like she’d just be angry at me. Why does it work that way? Why not flobberworms? Do you not like them? You could put catnip or something on the weeds? Then she might actually jump for them and you could have her be productive and everything.
Yeah, it would be a lot easier, but I think if I tried apparating now, I’d end up splinching myself. It’s not exactly a long holiday like Christmas or the summer breaks, no. But at least you can see your family if you go back to see them. Please don’t remind me of more classes. I like to ignore those. I think so? i don’t know how most of the relationships between the staff works.
do you have any domestic talents?
Well, I mean, I guess I’m good at washing dishes and putting them away. Mum can do it all with magic but she said something about doing it the muggle way builds character or something. And she taught me to cook when I was young because she said it was an essential if you wanted to eat.
Not saying anything is wrong with it, but at the same time if you don’t think to hard about it and just trust yourself and let things flow, you’d be less likely to mess up.
Well, yeah, sometimes it’s better to go with the flow but I also like getting practice in. There’s nothing wrong with working hard to improve at something. Sometimes that’s a lot better than natural talent. Hard work goes a long way.
What's your thought process when it comes to making a snack?
I got to the kitchens and hope the elves will make me something?
If I’m home, I just eat whatever I see.
Well I got through the day, it wasn’t the best but I got through. How was your Easter?
Sometimes all you can do is march on, even if it sucks. It was kinda uneventful? Mum had something last minute come up so I stayed at Hogwarts for the break.
How honest are you?
I like to think I’m pretty honest. My mum raised me to know that lying is wrong, even if it’s just to a stranger. You should always do what’s right and go with your moral code. I guess it’s okay to withhold the truth to protect a friend, but lying maliciously is wrong.
I hope not. I would hope that you love me too much to do that. Thank you. Oh, it could just be typical sibling rivalry. I don’t think he’s too happy with me being at Hogwarts, to be honest.
You know I adore you, don’t worry. It’d be boring if I didn’t have you to entertain me. Becs and Olly are busy more than they used to be these days. Oh right. He’s a muggle right? It’s a lot to be jealous about, I guess. Magic is pretty cool.
do you have any discerning features: dimples, birthmarks, scars, etc?
I don’t think I have dimples? I can never tell. I have a birthmark on my left shoulder but I always forget it’s there unless I like look. I have a few scars, usually from playing Quidditch or getting into trouble when I was younger. There’s one on my lip from when a bludger hit me in the face.
Oh, no, I mean, if you’re comparing it to a lake or perhaps an estuary, then no, there’s not that much. It’s a bit of a climb, but I like being in the tower. Though the Hufflepuff common room seems like it would be awfully comfortable.
And at least it’s Easter break, so I’m not bothering that many people. Estuary? What’s an estuary? I mean, other than something with water, I guess. Yeah, it’s gotta be cool to be that high up. I used to really wish I was in the Gryffindor tower as a kid but I got used to the Hufflepuff. It is really warm and there’s usually cool plants on the windows. And it’s quieter during storms. Each dorm has it’s perks, I guess.
I can’t express how happy I am to be home. Sometimes you forget how much you need your big brother and your father when they’re the one who gets you the most. My backbone when I need it and when I don’t. Kind of makes me not want to go back sometimes.
Hey, you have to come back to Hogwarts. It wouldn’t be the same without you here. It’d be like Gracie suddenly not coming back. But I get it. All of this kinda reminds me how much I miss my mom.
