I have this weird version of battle school in my head that I know cannot and does not exist in canon.
A version where flash suits are decorated and basically vandalized with that soldier’s nickname or an etched drawing of that army’s animal.
Where army’s trade goods between themselves and some army’s are known for certain services
The version where when dapp, the launchy’s “mom”, tell them not to go to the teachers mess because that’s where the edible food is, it’s actually a subtle hint to go their anyway and get something real to eat once in a while. And the army’s would have to organize between eachother to not take so much that the teacher would notice or not go on the same night as to not trip eachother up.
The version where one army figures out that battle school receives local Florida radio and sets up a relay that they charge a monthly subscription to other armies to listen to the music/news.
The version where the game room is the only room on the ship available to students with carpeted floor and lights that aren’t florescent designed to keep them there for as long as possible.
The version where the same game room has multiple floors where launchies are kept out of by the bigger kids because of “the pool” they have up there. It’s not real but every once in awhile an older kid will climb the ladder with a towel hiding a water bottle and come back down a few minutes later with wet hair.
The version where the standings take up an entire wall of the mess hall and that wall is very slightly inclined inwards to create a sense of looming.
I want to write fics where I could explore these non canon compliant ideas, would anyone read that?
