Pocketing his phone, Oikawa hummed a tune under his breath as he made his way downstairs and towards the entryway. “Mom, I’m going to Iwa-chan’s!” Hand already on the knob, the setter simply waited for his mother’s response before going out of the door, partially thanking whoever it was that brought Iwaizumi’s home closer to his.

It saved him from spending.

Two quick raps on Iwaizumi’s door was all he needed before patiently waiting once he had reached the other boy’s house.

Looking up from what he was busy with, Iwaizumi nodded to himself, pretty sure he still have time to finish everthing before Oikawa’s arrival. However, he counted on the other spending at least 30 min in the bathroom getting ready as usual, and he jumped when he heard someone was a the door soon after. And it was Oikawa, he’s recognized his way of knocking everywhere.

“Shi-” Setting his tools down as fast as possible, he got to the door to open it, forgetting he was still wearing his mother’s apron, a smear of flour on his cheek.

“What’re you doing here already? Didn’t you need to get ready or something, like usual?!” The spiker complained as he opened the door-way to greet the birthday boy Iwaizumi. He sighed to himself, he should have waited until everything was ready before sending a text.
