02: Who did you last say “I love you” to?

“Oh, either...” Ruth tilts her head in thought, nose scrunching for a few moments as she considers before she’s saying, “Sammy... Jules or Nat, probably. Cause I tell Jules and Nat I love them all the time so I don’t even know when I last did that but it was probably recently. And I told Sammy I loved him the other night for sure...” Ruth’s head bobs in a nod for a moment before she’s beaming and adding, “So yeah! 08: Played any sports?

“I mean... not officially. My brother Tommy was super into like soccer and baseball and stuff like that when we were growing up so I played that stuff with him! And I did little league with him too and was even on one of those little kid soccer teams! If you’re wondering I got a whole trophy for participation! Thank you, thank you very much,” Ruth playfully bows with the words, trying and failing to stifle her grin as makes her movements as dramatic as possible, finishing with a flip of her hair. “I am super proud. But other than that nope! I’ve watched a lot of sports, but never really played!” 

11: Do you like someone?

“Uh...” Ruth’s brows furrow with the question, the shift of her jaw more nervous than anything else as she shrugs. “I dunno. I mean... no.” Ruth shakes her head for a second before the motion is slowly coming to a stop, eyes far off before she admits. “Or... I mean, maybe.” Just like that Ruth’s cheeks are warming with her flush, flustered as she waves her hands about with a final. “I dunno! I--... let’s talk about something else.” Ruth’s eyes go wide before she says, “Did you know caterpillars are like super deezed?”

19: Would you go back in time if you were given the chance?

“Hmm... depends. Like are we talking back in time in my timeline or back in time in general? Like could I go back to the 1800s and just freak them all out with futuristic stuff? Like I could be the first person to suck dick! I could invent it, and go down in history for going down and everything which would be super cool! I could also like, invent the wheel. Or like be in one of Shakespeare’s plays! Or even get that guy who drew the Mona Lisa to draw me instead. All of that would be super cool. Also, the nineties though. That would be a cool decade to go back to.” Ruth pauses a second to think seriously, gaze up towards the ceiling as she says, “But in my own timeline... I mean, maybe. There are... some things I did that I regret so. It would be cool to have a redo. Or just live through certain things again, you know? The happy bits.” Ruth smiles almost regretfully for a moment before she’s admitting, “Like it’d be really cool to... go back to when my Dad didn’t hate me as much. Or before my mom dipped. Or... relive that roadtrip with Cole. That would be a lot of fun, and maybe, just maybe, if given a second chance I wouldn’t fuck off and leave again. Maybe.” Ruth says that words like a joke, but her smile fades a bit as she trails off. But then she’s abruptly perking up and adding, “It would also be super cool to go back to before I lost my tamagochi, because I miss that little guy! Peebo if you’re hearing this I love you!” @colefm

27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart?

“I mean... yeah.” Ruth’s shoulders slump a bit with the admission, hand moving to tuck a lock of hair awkwardly behind her ear in a bit of a guilty tic. “Not like I meant to though. I’m not like... a sadist. But... yeah probably.” Ruth makes a bit of a face for a second before sighing and adding, “but I feel really bad about it. I never really try to hurt anybody but... I mean, that doesn’t really make much of a difference does it? I still did it.” 

28: Have you ever been cheated on?

“Yeah, in high school.” Ruth replies with an easy nod, cocking her head before she admits. “It wasn’t that bad though. Like I didn’t like the guy that much, even though I kind of thought I did, and we weren’t really that serious? But it still hurt a lot. Made me feel... like I wasn’t good enough and all that. And if it feels like that when you’re not even that into someone I can’t imagine how it’d feel when you are!” Ruth blows out a long breath, shaking her head slowly as she says, “That shit will rip your heart straight out...” 

35: Who was the last person you cried in front of?

“Well, PB, if he counts. Peanut Butter and I watched the Lilo and Stitch together the other day, and watching Stitch sit in the middle of that forest and cry out that he’s lost as he waits for his family to come get him will always get to me! Like that shit is too sad to put in a kids movie! What was Disney thinking!” Ruth exclaims loudly for a moment before she’s shaking her head and sighing, frowning as she thinks. “But other than that... probably Julian I think? I can’t even remember what I was crying about, but... probably Julian. He’s got a good shoulder to cry on that Julian, and... I mean,” Ruth’s shoulders hitch up in her shrug for a second, lips quirking as she honestly says, “...he’s like the closest thing I’ve got to family here, so. If I was gonna bawl my eyes out, I’d probably try to find him or something.” @jvamadev

“well, to be honest, it would depend on which ex you’re talking about. the worst thing my first boyfriend would probably say about me is that i stuck like seventy percent of his crayons right up my nose, which would be correct cause i was four and wanted to smell the colours! i was coming for van gogh’s brand at an early age.” ruth says shamelessly, eyes twinkling for a moment before she’s moving to tap her chin thoughtfully. “but... i dunno a lot of the ones i had in high school would probably say that i was... maybe too clingy? and the ones after that would probably say that i was like afraid of commitment or something. but both could also say that i was a freak in the sheets and honestly, that should have made up for all of the other stuff!”

cole couldn’t help the bashful blush that flooded his cheeks at ruth’s complimenting words, rubbing the back of his neck as he laughed awkwardly. “thanks. i mean, i knew my instagram page was growing and i was getting called more frequently for bookings but like, vampire weekend? i think i asked them at least five times if they called the right number.” it’s not that cole doubted his talents– in fact, his eye for photography was one of the few things he was absolutely confident about. it all just seemed a little too good to be true that his career was finally starting to grow after making that risky move to new york.  as they walked down the hall together, cole realized they were both walking a little faster than they needed to, both excitement and anxiousness coursing through them. he allowed himself to take a moment to breathe as they stood on the elevator, running a quick hand through his carefully placed curls. “mr. buckingham, huh? damn, you really do want this to be the intro of some porn. am i supposed to show you my red room and sex swings now?” he smirked and laughed a little, nudging ruth with his shoulder, before throwing a casual arm around her as they stepped outside. “i don’t know if i’m gonna be needing an assistant anytime soon. i mean, most of it i can handle. but the second i feel like i’m in a little over my head, you’ll be the first one i call.” his eyebrows furrowed as he pulled out his uber app, cursing when he realized even the uber was running a little late. “fuckin’ traffic. we should have just taken the subway.” he sighed and willed himself to calm down– they weren’t running that late, he was just a little paranoid over how big this job was. and wanting to make sure ruth had the best night possible. grinning a little to himself, he figured they might as well waste a little time as they waited for their uber. he pulled out his camera and aimed it towards ruth, just like old times, already giving her instructions. “alright, you’re giving me real, on-the-go city girl vibes right now. work for me, that’s it,” he said in an over the top accent, laughing a little as he started snapping pictures of her. 

“no problem.” ruth replies warmly with a nod, gaze softened with pride and fondness as she cole gushes for a moment before she’s scrunching her nose as she affectionately says, “honestly, i think vampire weekend should just be glad that the cole buckingham is willing to do this for them. i mean, you’re a busy man. in very high demand. i mean, you had a very important ball crawl scheduled for today, and yet you made time in your schedule for them.” ruth arches a brow with her smile, eyes twinkling as she says, “they should be thanking you.” once they’re in the elevator ruth has to lean back against the wall to try and catch her breath a bit, a feat made harder when cole makes her laugh. “i mean, if you want! you know me, i can never say no to a good swing. you can push me in it fully clothed for old times sake!” ruth tucks into cole’s side easily as he throws an arm around her, raising her hand to hold the one he has dangling off her shoulder as she cheerfully says, “wow, i mean, that’s as good as a job offer right? should i quit my day job in waiting for the day i get that fated call?” ruth’s brows arch at cole’s obvious frustration, her free hand raising to gently try to iron out the furrow between his brows with a finger. “...i mean, if you want to we still can. as fancy as we are now, i don’t mind.” ruth offers with a shrug, because honestly she doesn’t. whatever’s easiest works for her, and whatever makes cole happy is even better. despite her mild concern ruth can’t help but grin as cole turns the camera on her, laughing at cole’s exaggerated instructions for before she’s jumping to follow them, playfully flipping her hair over her shoulder and posing. “oh, you mean like this?” ruth turns her back to cole, only to turn to dramatically look at the camera over her shoulder. “or like this?” ruth can’t contain her amusement at the silliness of it all as she jumps into random poses, each increasingly more outlandish. “make sure you get my good side okay?” ruth says playfully as she gestures and poses with the left side of her face, only to then turn to her other side with a jokingly snobby. “okay, now get my better side.” despite how much fun she’s having it doesn’t take long for ruth to switch gears, sticking her tongue out at the camera for one last photo before she’s closing in on cole with a determined, “okay, now let’s take one together now, mr. photographer! you’re always behind the camera!” ruth complains with an only half serious huff, brow arching as she says, “you’re too pretty for it, and it’s not fair. so after this i want you to tell me how to use this fancy thing to take one of you.” ruth pauses now that she’s at cole’s side, resting her chin on his shoulder as she studies the camera in his hands and curiously asks, “is it like... blasphemy to take a selfie on this thing? should we use a self timer?”

the mood was changing every second it felt like. it felt like they were about to just get past it all, but sammy was an idiot. he mentioned roman and the mood shifted slightly, but when he mentioned that they fucked, that is when everything seemed to go sour. sammy wasn’t sure why it had caused so much tension since it wasn’t like sammy had ever been told not to fuck roman, but it almost felt like an unwritten rule. one that he had now broken. 

when ruth spoke finally, he felt like he didn’t even know her. the way it used to be so easy to talk to her seemed to disappear and shew as a mere stranger sitting across from him. he wanted to reach out and touch a hand to her cheek, her knee, anything, but it didn’t feel right. not yet. sammy’s own gaze hadn’t even met hers for what felt like minutes, only shifting between his own hands and hers. he watched her shift awkwardly, knowing that it was from his own words that had caused it made him internally curse himself for even mentioning it in this first place. why did he feel like she should know? probably because he’d rather her hear it from him instead of roman. and definitely better than her finding his jacket at roman’s that he had left there on accident. not thinking, sammy reached a hand up, scratching at his stubble along his jaw causing him to take a sharp breath in from the pain of his sore jaw. “ruth,” he finally spoke muttered, eyes shifting to meet hers if she would only look at him.

“look at me,” he spoke in a quiet voice, moving closer so that their legs were touching and he could easily reach a hand out to touch under her chin, pushing her head up so their eyes would meet. “if you ever catch me making out with roman mckinley, i give you permission to punch me as hard as you can. better yet, just shoot me right then and there,” he chuckled, hoping that he could make light of the situation. sammy moved his hand from her chin, letting it rest against her cheek in a delicate manner. he couldn’t remember the time he was this gentle with someone, but if he was going to be this way with anyone, it was ruth. her next question made a genuine laugh escape his lips, “are you really asking me how sex with roman was?” he teased, moving back momentarily to take a hit from the joint that he had almost forgotten about. “well,” he started, letting the smoke escape past his lips before continuing, “it wasn’t bad. but i don’t think it’s worth you getting into a bar fight, babe.” sammy flipped the joint around so that he could hold it out towards her lips, holding it for her if she wanted a hit. “i’m only telling you this because i don’t want you to hear from someone else and think it’s anything more than a fuck. honestly, i would classify it as a mistake if it wasn’t for the fact that… it wasn’t bad,” he admitted with a chuckle. 

“think of it this way,” sammy started, already starting to feel a bit more comfortable as he settled into the couch. he moved his hand that had previously been on her cheek down to her thigh, giving it a quick squeeze and pull to try and encourage her to move into his lap. “since we can’t fuck, i had to go through roman. y’all have hooked up right?” he questioned, not even sure if his excuse was valid.

ruth can only hum at sammy’s mumbled call of her name, eyes on the fingers she’s twisting pretty determinedly in the hem of her shirt for another few moments before she’s registering his request, and immediately feels pretty bad that he has to make it in the first place. she doesn’t know why she’s acting this way. sammy doesn’t deserve it. it’s not like he’s done anything wrong. 

ruth takes a deep breath before she’s meeting sammy’s eyes as asked, resting her chin gently in his hand as she flashes him a tight smile with only a bit of effort. it’s a bit easier to smile with sammy’s joke, ruth’s eyes crinkling even as she says, “well, if you say so... just remember, i do have a brother in the army.” ruth tries to stifle her smile as she furrows her brows toughly but she doesn’t quite manage it, probably looking as threatening as a puppy even as she says, “i’ve been taught how to do some real damage.” ruth sighs as sammy rests his hand on her cheek, leaning into his touch almost instinctively at this point. she simply drinks in the physical affection for a few moments before she’s turning her face to press a chaste kiss to sammy’s palm, pulling back with a twinkle in her eye even as she teasingly says, “what a girl can’t be curious?” ruth isn’t, not really, but... she wants to seem like she is. she wants to seem normal, and like this is normal, cause it should be. there’s really no reason for it not to be. ruth leans in obediently when sammy offers her the joint, merely letting him hold it as she takes a generous inhale before pulling back with a nod and a, “noted. good but not worth physically fighting for.” ruth’s eyes sparkle with her mirth even if they might be a bit dimmer than usual, “i mean, that’s a pretty comprehensive review, sammy boy.” ruth reaches up to affectionately ruffle a hand through sammy’s hair, smile widening as she says, “if there was a sex yelp you’d surely be one of their best critics. you’d be the one everybody looks to for the cold hard truth.”

ruth doesn’t even blink at the hand on her thigh, merely moving to balance herself with an arm around sammy’s shoulder as she swings herself into his lap. she tucks herself into sammy’s side as he speaks, resting her chin on his shoulder and weaving her fingers through his hair even as she shakes her head with an easy, “nope. never. so your plan has unfortunately backfired and you have no excuse, sir!” ruth teases gently. at this point she doesn’t even have to consciously choose not to focus on the fact that sammy apparently wants to fuck her, it’s just instinct. it barely registers as anything outside the norm. instead her eyes are filled with a dry sort of amusement as she cracks a smile, shifting to toy with the fingers of the hand sammy has on her thigh as she jokingly asks, “should i be offended? cause honestly, at this point i’m kind of feeling left out. s’like everybody else has been invited to the... infamous display of roman mckinley’s dick but me.” ruth quips with a huff of laughter, but there is a certain amount of truth to the words that makes them taste a bit bitter on the way out. she tries to ignore it. “...maybe i should just go over there now and get it over with. rip it off like a bandaid...” ruth knows she wouldn’t. even if she wasn’t joking. she doesn’t even know how she’s going to handle seeing roman when she eventually has to, and she’s sure as hell not going to do so voluntarily. she’s not even handled this thing with sammy well, and he’s sammy. she’s known him for so much longer, and loved him for the entirety of that time. they were solid, and as far as ruth was concerned they were always going to be, and if things were this rocky between them, she cannot even imagine how things with ro will be. ruth stares at sammy intently for a few moments, blue eyes scanning his face before she’s gently tugging his earlobe as she says, “hey.” ruth tries to smother her smile but doesn’t quite manage it, the soft fondness she’s feeling much too powerful to contain as she gently says, “... thanks for telling me. you didn’t have to, but... it means a lot that you were honest with me. and that you felt comfortable telling me. makes me feel like you trust me or something.” ruth’s eyes are crinkling with her smile, heart swelling a bit despite herself, and it’s not long before she’s shifting up onto her knees to practically straddle sammy’s waist as she drags him into an enthusiastic bear hug, quickly kissing his cheek before she’s tucking her face into his neck with a sincere. “...i love you a lot, okay?”

watching peanut butter, who juno affectionately calls her godcat, skitter across the floor with much more interest than any sober person should, she pushes her body off the counter. “an adventure, yeah!” grabbing her roommate by the hand and giving her a twirl, probably dangerous for the state both of them were in, she tiptoed fishnetted feet across the wood floor, hoping not to wake their other roommate or, as they so often had on these nights, their neighbors. juno was clumsy, or that’s the excuse she gave, when her neighbors would bang on the walls and tell her to stop stumbling around so late at night. “ruthie,” sliding on her doc martens, swaying a little as she attempted to do so on one foot before resigning to sitting on the floor to do so, “you’re so smart. i’m so excited. i love the city at night.”

ruth giggles wildly as she’s twirled, bare feet nearly slipping on the floor as she tries and almost fails to regain her balance once juno lets her go. she luckily stumbles right in the direction of their coat hanger, easily grabbing the first jacket she sees which actually might be sammy’s but at this point ruth is too intoxicated to care. she shrugs into it as she gasps at juno’s compliment, drunkenly choked up as she replies, “stop, you’re so smart, baby.” ruth sniffles for a moment as she moves to zip the coat up, casually wiping at her wet eyes because this isn’t the first time she’s drunkenly teared up tonight and it likely won’t be the last. she toes her way over to slip her feet into the first pair of shoes that look like they might fit. “me too though. i love it. like all the lights and the... street food and the weird drunk people...” ruth trails off a moment before she’s lighting up and, “oh my god, juno! tonight we’re gonna be the weird drunk people!” ruth’s mouth is open in her shock at this revelation for a few moments before she’s clicking it shut and looking down at herself self consciously. “god, do we look the part? are we going to disappoint the sacred reputation of... of weird drunk people in new york?”

mikaella had one hand holding her phone to her ear and a medium-sized WHITE GUMMI from jamba juice ( her absolute favourite ) “hindi na, tita. it’s okay! i’m fine!,” she said with a laugh, her filipino accent peeking through. “magkausap kita mamaya, tita. love you. take care!” the brunette smiled, as she hung up the phone. distracted by a notification from tiktok, she opened it & laughed at the content. totally distracted, the brunette thought it be the most important thing to go ahead and send this to her friends AT THAT MOMENT. it wasn’t until she felt her shoulder bump into another’s that caused both her phone to drop & her drink to spill all over her white converse. “ay! putangina… susmaryoseph..” she mumbled to herself. there was a small pout, brown orbs tearing up & not at the sight of her phone. “my drink..” she then turned around to the other that she ran into, big brown eyes drowning with numerous apologies that she was too embarrassed to say. “i am so sorry!” she exclaimed. “i didn’t get anything on you, did i?” she frantically searched through her backpack for some napkins, finally finding some old crumpled, but unused, starbucks napkins, offering it to the other as a peace offering.

ruth isn’t paying attention much when she’s bumped into, simply hanging out in the lobby flicking through tinder on her phone when she’s suddenly jostled and splashed. she has to blink a moment in surprise as she spots mikaela behind her, glancing between the brunette, the mess, and the apparent tears in her eyes for a moment before ruth is eloquently saying, “...oh shit.” she crouches down near the pool that mikaela’s drink has made to fetch her phone out of the soon to be sticky mess, not even hesitating to wipe the corner of her flannel over the screen to clean it as she says, “oh, don’t even worry about it, babe! it’s fine, i mean i needed to wash these jeans anyways! you’ve just given me a pretty good reason to do laundry.” ruth straightens back up to hand mikaela her phone, smiling as she exchanges it for the napkins happily. “thanks!” ruth raises a leg to try to dab at the back of her calf, standing on one foot even as she casually continues, “i’m sorry about your jamba juice though. i mean, i hate them cause they banned me from locations nation wide, but still, that really fuckin’ sucks. i don’t know what you got but it smells really good, and everyone knows the ones that smell good taste the best.” ruth finally lets her foot fall back to the ground with that, crumpling up the napkin in hand for a moment as she looks down at mikaella’s soaked shoes thoughtfully. it’s obvious that the other girl is kinda bummed by the whole thing, and ruth feels kind of bad about it, searching her mind for some sort of solution until she perks up as the figurative light turns on above her head. “hey do you wanna put your converse into the washer with my jeans and split the cost? fifty cents each!” ruth offers brightly, grin wide as she says, “and we can even push each other around in those little carts they got if you want? that might cheer you up!”

once devon fixed her makeup she sat back in her chair, facing ruth once again. ‘ is this a new career path for you ? ’, she asked with bright eyes. ‘ rutherford ransom. the ultimate, best selling, number one fan fic creator ! ’, she giggled. ‘ if it makes you feel any better, i’ll definitely read some of your work as long as it involves anything with noel miller. it doesn’t even have to include me ! i’m so selfless, i know ! ’, devon replied, setting her head on ruth’s shoulder for a quick minute. that was when her blue eyes caught a small tube of lipstick. ‘ oh my god, ruth. i think we need to put on red lipstick. ’, devon quickly bolted up and fixed herself in front of the small vanity mirror to apply a layer of red lipstick over whatever she had before. she rubbed her lips together a few times before turning over to ruth and giving her a small pout. ‘ oh god this look ? ’, she asked. ‘ i feel like we should put our hair up into messy buns as well… you know for the whole fanfic illusion. ’, devon slowly began to reveal the fact she actually did spend countless hours reading a few fanfics when she was younger. ‘ ok your turn ! do it like i taught you last time ! and don’t move ! ’, the brunette said cupping ruth’s cheek to get a better balance.

“ it’s one of them, yes. i’m thinking about having maybe five before i croak. gotta keep things interesting, y’know?” ruth replies cheekily, smile only growing as she puts her fist under her chin in a playful pose at devon’s introduction. “yeah, that’ll be me! i’m telling you, the entire book industry better watch out. i’m about to put them all out of business!” ruth gasps, immediately shaking her head at the very thought. “what? no, of course it has to include you, you and noel are my new otp! i wouldn’t dare ship him with anybody else, i have some loyalty.” ruth rests her head on devon’s head for a brief moment before she’s startling back up at devon’s abrupt exclamation, laughing once she realizes what devon is even saying. “sure!” she watches in slight awe as devon applies the lipstick with effortlessness she wishes she could emulate, shaking her head slowly at the brunette in as she says, “god, it looks like perfect... how does it look like that?” ruth pouts with jealousy for a moment before she’s sighing and admitting. “i’m pretty sure if i even tried that i would end up looking like a clown... you’re magic, dev. like dumbledore who?” ruth’s lips pull up into a grin at devon’s suggestion, half out of pure amusement of how much devon was getting into this and half out of excitement at the very thought. “god, are we gonna go into this video full on matching? i love that! we’re gonna look like such a power couple!” ruth blinks as devon turns to her, startling and shifting into a position to allow devon better access as she says, “oh, shit, okay, right.” ruth does her best to stay still as she lets devon apply the lipstick, leaning into devon’s touch and simply watching her intently until the time comes for her to rub her lips together a few times to transfer the colour. “like that right? did i do it right?” ruth’s eyes twinkle as she quickly blows devon a kiss, smile bright as she playfully poses and asks, “do i look pretty? oh, wait.” ruth raises a finger with an arch of her brow, putting it into her mouth and sucking briefly as she pulls it out to reveal a bit of lipstick residue on the digit. “like that, right?”

Since Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart did two films, yeah?” Julian contributed, shrugging a shoulder. “I am sold with the Mr. and Mrs. Smith remake, it’s going to be a blockbuster. Or that other film, Keeping Up With The Joneses? Of course, you and Dev are the husband and wife spy duo.” Ruth has taken the lead once more, and Julian realized he knew this avenue. “That’s the vegan place?” He asked, seeing the signage with wide eyes. How did he miss this one? “How do you find these places, you’re amazing.” He was slightly confused as to how Ruth ended up opening the door for them instead of him and then—“What—huh—what made you think…?” Julian somewhat frantically looked around as though the possibility of seeing the fireman again, inside the restaurant. “I was—I went for—hold that thought,” he began, about to avert his attention to the waiter when Ruth leaned in. “I’m Batman,” he stated, smiling at the waiter now and nodding.

Wrapping an arm around Ruth’s shoulders, Julian motioned for the waiter to lead them to their table. “Firstly, it was the day after my birthday. And you were asleep in bed, he came over for, uh, breakfast… and there was the couch, so, you know,” he recalled, “then the kitchen—I mean, you were passed out, Rue.”

“Well, of course, that’s a given. Do you wanna sign up to be that sexy redhead lady from Doctor Who, Jules? You can come in and high kick while Dev crushes on you from afar!” Ruth offers enthusiastically, only just barely resisting the urge to do a high kick in demonstration herself. Ruth gasps at Julian’s suggestion, immediately bobbing her head in a nod as she says, “ooh, yes! Maybe we should combine them! A Mr. and Mr. Smith and a Keeping Up With The Joneses hybrid! It could be our second screenplay, our true break into the movie business!” Ruth dips her head in thanks at the compliment, smiling as the little bell above the door dings with their entrance as she says, “Yeah! I found it one time while I was super drunk and hungry! Which is usually when I find the best places, I don’t know why.” 

Ruth wraps her arm around Julian’s torso as he puts his around her shoulders, jaw dropping as Julian explains. “I was asleep and I missed all of that?” Ruth exclaims in dismay as she moves to slip into their booth, looking up at Julian with blatant dismay. “... I can’t believe you guys fucked twice and I was just knocked out!” Ruth’s bottom lip juts out in a pout as she bemoans. “I miss all the best things when I’m asleep. If I was awake I would have at least told Alexa to play I’m in love with a stripper. The moment called for it.” Ruth let’s out a long disappointed sigh for a moment before she’s smiling at their waiter as they pass her a menu, bright as she says, “thanks!” before she’s opening the thing and looking at Julian over the top of it. “By why were you hiding though? Things must have been good if you went two rounds. Does he have bad breath? Was he into feet stuff?”
