Done a bit of research certain aspects used in SaH’s universe… (work in progress)
(Please note that I am not a native Korean speaker, and if my information is incorrect or slightly off; please let me know!!)
부대장 “Budaejang” is used exclusively amongst Flower Hill’s commanders. While it translates to Vice Commander (second in command), it also means Deputy Commander which I believe is what the series is conveying… unless there is a leader above them we don’t know of which would therefore make them a vice commander?
대장 “Daejang” means General or Commander. Used amongst antagonists exclusively to mean absolute rule. Idk what else to put here soooo yeah hehehe.
Please know that while it could mean a biological relationship, it is also possible it isn’t always the case. Mulmangcho, Oegwipari and Mulsajo’s relationship is pretty infamous as most commoners would believe that they are biological brothers, I admit that I was also one of the people who believed so. However, it would be proven otherwise.
형님 or 형 “Hyung” Only males use this, females use oppa. When referring to an older brother or male, “hyung” is used. However, as said before, it doesn’t always mean that two could be related. Unless there is an explicit connection (identifying the younger individual as “동생”/dongsaeng), take it with a grain of salt.
동생 “Dongsaeng” Is a term referring to one’s younger sibling and what makes such an explicit, biological connection. Geomeunjogjebi uses this term to confirm his relationship to Aekku as his younger brother.
(The image’s fatass is taking too much space I’ll have to make a separate post for part 2 HAHAHHAHAHAAAAAA)
