Ok so I caught up with the vods and everything up to the finale and all I gotta say is... I didn’t hate it but I didn’t really like it either.

Maybe it’s because I slowly got disinterested with the dream smp (which is kinds why this blog was dead for a while) but I felt that this finale was very rushed. And mostly I feel kinda dissatisfied because while c!tommy got his finale I can’t say the same for the other characters.

The reset I did expect to happen but I can’t see myself tuning in for multiple reasons but I do feel bad for the content creators that may still have had stories to tell about their characters and maybe this wouldn’t feel so rushed if there was better communication overall and there wasn’t a long wait for content.

But I do have very fond memories of the first two seasons, and they were definitely the best ones and the memories I have of watching them and interacting with the fandom and sharing my thoughts are not tainted with this finale, which is a good thing I suppose. I’m just glad this can be put to rest finally.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to my aus and headcanons again.

Unpopular opinion:

Ranboo's scene with Mexican Dream didn't belong in the Las Nevadas Finale

Hear me out. Every "chapter" in Quackity's lore movies usually have direct involvement with Quackity's character development, even when we don't see Quackity on screen. For example, the first scene with Badboyhalo show cases the start of Las Nevadas or the scene with Charlie's kidnapping leads to Quackity's downfall. However, Ranboo's and MD's limbo breaks the Chekhov's Gun principle since it didn't lead to any character development in Quackity (at least not yet).

I think it would've been better to put MD's and Ranboo's scene as an after credits scene. It would have made the movie more coherent and could've hinted to a possible "sequel"- as in a continuation of the story but with the spotlight being changed to Mexican Dream and Ranboo's potential comeback from the afterlife

Personally, I had no problem with the scene with Mexican Dream and Ranboo, though it was a little bit jarring but didn’t take me out of the stream. However I do see your point. Especially since I don’t think Ranboo will appear until season 2. (though I won’t be watching season 2). So yeah I could see it work as an aftercredit scene.

Bringing back unpopular opinions on the dream smp to try and revive this blog. So basically state your unpopular opinions about the characters or storylines and I will state whether I agree or disagree and why. But opinions are opinions and I’m not gonna point and say “no you’re wrong.” I’m just gonna give my perspective.

I mostly know more about seasons 1-3 (beginning- prison breakout). Also this is about the characters not the content creators.
