Self care isn’t always pretty , it’s not always candles and a bathtub full of roses , sometimes it’s forcing yourself to get out of bed and dragging yourself , sometimes it’s the pep talk you give to yourself or the quick cry in the corner . sometimes it is convincing yourself to do all these things you should be doing but you have no will whatsoever , sometimes it’s cutting some ties no matter how precious they were , sometimes it’s the bitter medicine you need to give yourself . Self care isn’t always pretty but it’s so worth it .

There should be a support group for lonely people. Not like an actual support group where you go to a meeting every Thursday at 5pm and you sit in a circle asking each other, “how are you.” But, a support group where you’re supported to make friends and to take trips with each other. Where some days you mingle and read books and grab coffee, and other days you go on rollercoaster rides or bounce on trampolines. A once a week field trip for lonely people, with other lonely people. For the young and the old. Yet, I worry that maybe it’ll make them feel more lonely once they go home and lay in bed by themselves…

I think we adults should also visualize before sleep that an angel is going to come and make our lives more beautiful the next day. We, adults, need more fairy tale work in our lives than children do. Just imagine how beautiful the next morning will turn out to be when we are ready to start each day on a new journey with a beautiful smile dissolving all the unpleasantness. We will be able to have all the good changes and such a wonderful state of bliss. Now let the magic begin
