NPIdb version 2.0

2nd version of NPIdb.org is coming along. In this version, NPI lookup is dramatically improved. Provider's education is also included. Added ICD-9 & ICD-10 code lookup and HCPCS codes. Overall performance is better as well. What other features should we include?

Need to work on SEO. Can't believe these other sites are ranking higher than NPIdb.org.

To show reviews or not show reivews

More changes at npidb.org. Now individual providers has the option of allowing the public to enter reviews or not. This is extremely helpful for those who have experienced abuse.

Self-service correction is now available

You can now update make your own changes to your profile page. We've received many emails telling us the information we have is incorrect. Since our npi database is updated monthly from CMS, we made it possible for you to make these changes directly at npidb.org. Just go to the NPI correction page and enter your NPI number to begin.

NPI Update - Better late than never

Seems there was a problem with the data file. After a little more than a week, CMS has fixed the issue and we have done our monthly update on Sept 1, 2010. About 3,179,853 records in the latest database today. Thanks for being patient. I know this post is about a week late but better late than never.

Site modifications
