Generally speaking, you shouldn't fix what's broken, but that's not exactly what happen with this game. The basically added a fresh coat of paint to the game. The aesthetic of this game is great. The music to this game is beautiful and compliments the gorgeous city of the glass that the game takes place in. Magnus Birgersson's music greatly honors Lisa Miskovsky's still alive with the futuristic feel of the game. The sound really helps the player feel welcome to the open word that faith resides in. The gameplay is comfortably familiar, and feels like you're playing the original game. The runners vision is something that isn't really something players needed but I guess for those who are new to the game, it could prove to be useful, in the original game it was much more subtle, but in this game it takes form of a weird digital gas like substance. The map and waypoint feature seem to be forced on the player, I don't really favor them and I feel like the time they spent working on those features, they could've spent on different things, like the story or the character. The characters in this game seem to have more depth and actually feel like people you may know. The voice acting is pretty good and it feels like they actually spent time and care on how the characters sound. With more characters being added to the roster, it actually seems like you're not the only runner. Now that I've talked about the positive of this game I want to talk about the opposite side of the coin, where they could improve. The story, although familiar as well, didn't do the game justice. It seemed like there was something missing, it almost seemed hollow. Like the original, you're fighting a big corporation taking over the city and having great power and influence but there's something that the game needs. Now as for faith, before she was a calm, collective, professional person. She knew what she was doing and I know she is younger than the original faith and this is an origins story, but this isn't the faith we know, she might be as confident as the original but she lacks the magic the old faith had. All in all, I personally think the game is good and I feel like it deserves a 7 out of 10. This is my personal opinion and I think that you should go out and try it and if you played the original, prepare to feel nostalgic.
