FLAPJACK OCTOPUS!!
Also known as Opisthoteuthis californiana or adorabilis, the flapjack octopus is a species of umbrella octopus!
Named after how they squish down into a pancake like way on the sea floor, they cannot camouflage themselves because of their brightly colored bodies! (oh no:()
They grow to be around 20 inches, their diet is composed of small worms, crustaceans, and other invertebrates, and they live deep under the water on the muddy sea floor!
Their predators are sperm whales, sharks, and seals, however if they are in danger, they will just swim away.

BLANKET OCTOPUS!!
Also known as Tremoctopus, is a genus of pelagic cephalopods containing 4 species that occupy surface to mid waters in sub-tropical and tropical oceans!
The blanket octopus is named such because of its webbed tentacles, creating an elegant blanket-like effect! How graceful!
The size difference between males and females is drastic. Females reach up to 2 meters (6.6 feet!!), while males reach up to 2.4 centimeters (only 1 inch).
They live for about 3-5 years, and they eat fish!

SEA SHEEP!
Costasiella kuroshimae, aka the leaf slug, sea sheep, and loads of other names, is a type of sacoglossan sea slug!
Scientific Classifications:
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Mollusca
Class: Gastropoda
Clade: Heterobranchia
Informal Group: Opisthobranchia
Clade: Sacoglossa
Clade: Plakobranchacea
Superfamily: Limapontioidea
Family: Costasiellidae
Genus: Costasiella
These little cuties are around Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia! They are capable of photosynthesis via a process called kleptoplasty, where they retain the chloroplasts from the algae they eat.
Their lifespan is between 6 months to a year. They are 5 millimeters to 1 centimeter
Their scientific name, Costasiella kuroshimae, is a combination of Latin and Japanese, and theyāre hermaphroditic or intersex. They spend their whole lives on algae leaves and graze for food, much like actual sheep. They arenāt found at coral reefs, but are found near them. The two things on the sides of their head that look like ears relative to their face, are actually smell and taste receptors that help them detect chemicals in the water to find food.
I see! Thanks for the info!! :))
