Sunâs body is warm. Itâs probably the reason why heâs so alright being in this position. While the Alolan sun can be unforgiving, Sun was more gentle and calming. It fitted his nature, at least thatâs what Gladion believes.
The noise of the fan is enough to lull him back to sleep, but the light peeking in from Sunâs bedroom blinds tells him itâs time to get up. Though heâll admit, moments of peace in their hectic lives were rare and part of him does want to treasure it.
Gladion opened one eye, sighing as he sits up. Sunâs next to him, fast asleep and seemingly without a care in the world. It seemed rare to see him like that, being Champion and the other duties that came with it. Sure Gladion was busy with the Aether foundation, but it always seemed like the smaller of the two was constantly tired.
He almost feels bad for waking him, and part of him wants to let Sun sleep a little longer. Although he knows, likely there is a lot of things heâll need to get done.
Slowly, Gladion shakes Sun. âHey, get up.â He grumbled, continuing the action with a little more force behind it. At one point Gladionâs tempted to just shove him off the bed, and was about to until Sun swatted at him. Thereâs something both amusing and adorable about one of the most strongest trainers in the region, glaring at him with the intimidation of a Magikarp. Perhaps Gladion couldnât be afraid of him.
âI donât want to get up either, but you need to.â He crossed his arms, glaring at Sun in turn. He goes to shake him again, but Sun manages to pull him back down onto the bed and lay his head on his shoulder. Gladion huffs, shifting to rest his arm on Sunâs back and tap his fingers on his bag.
âIâm not your mattress.â The statement gains him an amused look, and Sun rises to press a kiss to Gladionâs cheek. He hums in satisfaction at Gladionâs red face, and snuggles back into him. âFine, Iâm your mattress sometimes.â
Deciding to accept his fate for the time being, and if Gladionâs honest he doesnât mind letting Sun or himself rest for a little longer. He wraps his arms around Sun and gives him a light squeeze. âAlright, five more minutes. Brat.â

A few ideas Iâve had are a mix of depressing and cute, I have to admit Iâm very into the hurt/comfort sort of writing. It helps me cope with some things
Iâm thinking of maybe doing a few part fic, based on them being adults and gladion coming back to alola having travelled for a few years to get stronger (slow burn maybe?),the classic sicfic or gladion comforting sun after finding him in a bad state.

2: Who sleeps in the otherâs lap?
It varies sometimes, but generally itâs Gladion. It also doesnât help that Sun likes to pet his hair.
18: Whoâs the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?
Gladion was the first one to realise that he had feelings for Sun, but Sun was the one who first admitted it (by showing a note into Gladionâs hands and running away)
26: Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder?
Sun does sometimes, since he likes to take photos for memories. Gladion has his lock screen as a picture of Sun sleeping on his shoulder though.
29: Which one holds the umbrella over both of them when it rains?
Gladion does this because he wants to keep the rain off Sun as much as possible, even if he ends up not completely dry.
30: If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do? Who would take the pictures?
Theyâd travel to Kalos and do some battling together. They do go visit tourist sites, and its Sun who usually takes photos of the landscape but thinks he sneaks some photos of Gladion too. Gladion notices, he doesnât really mind/care.
Itâs shouted to the almost empty room, a notepad thrown to the other side of the room in a bout of frustration. A gentle hand is laid upon Gladionâs shoulder, he turns to look at itâs owner and made eye contact with Lillie.
Tightening his fist, he releases it with a sigh. Sheâd returned a year before the incident, what they were trying to understand. Everything had been good then, everyone had been happy..
Why did it happen?
âDid we upset him?â
Gladion looked slowly at Hau, whoâd taken over his grandfatherâs position just a year ago. He was a young Kahuna yes, and the death of Hala had taken a toll on him. Seeing him like this again, it was awful. The bleakness in darkened eyes, the way that positive energy around him seemed like a myth.. He was never sure if he was close with Hau truthfully, but it hurt to see him like this.
Where did they all go wrong?
âSun loved it here. Iâm sure of it.â Lillie nodded, trying to smile encouragingly to console them. He offers a half-hearted smile in turn, but itâs dropped just as quick. âYou could see how his eyes brightened every time he saw one of us.â
Gladion always thought there was something precious about that. The way his lips turned upwards, a happiness glimmering in his eyes that resembled innocence. He was always such a strange character, but there was some sort of charm to that.
Mysterious, holding many secrets and yet Sun always seemed so cheerful. Was he always happy? Had he failed to notice something was wrong?
âThere has to be a reason behind it.â Gladion stated, gripping his wrist to ground himself. He bit his lip, turning so he was facing both Hau and Lillie as he spoke. âThere is no way in hell that Sun would up and leave Alola without so much as a goodbye! He was Alolaâs league champion for Arceusâ sake! There has to be a reason he disappeared and Nebby appeared looking like that!â
The appearance of the armored Solgaleo was a mystery, yet the Pokemon was aggressive to those who approached and nearly hurt Lillie when she tried to calm him. Locals were warned to stay away, and tourists were banned from the area all together. It was a mystery, Nebby had been just as kind as Sun and much more silly when he wanted to.
There had to be a link behind Sunâs disappearance, and Nebbyâs new outfit.
â..You never told him did you?â
Gladion looked at Hau, staring at him as if trying to understand what he was trying to hint at. It takes a few moments, lips tightening and the president glanced away just as quick.
âWeâre going to find Sun, weâre going to drag him back here and weâll take are of Nebby.â Gladion affirms, not glancing back to them.
It had been true, heâd begun to fall for Sun by accident. There was always something about him that made Gladionâs heart flutter, and he swore Sun could have him wrapped around his little finger and Gladion wouldnât mind. Sometimes seeing Sun could soften his anxieties, and often tried to seek him out when he wasnât in a good mood.
Lillie could do this as well of course, but sometimes it was nice to be in the company of someone you loved.
âWeâre bring Sun home, weâre finding out what happened to him when we bring him home and we can fix Nebby.âÂ
4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?
Itâs a mix of both, but itâs mostly Sun telling Gladion to go bed and Gladion remaining awake. Sun also has a habit of forgetting what time it is and staying up the whole night.
8: Which one spends all day running errands and which one says âYou remembered [thing], right?â
Sun runs errands since Gladion is usually extremely busy with Aether, and Gladion is the one who asks if he forget something (because he usually does)
21: Who gets attacked by a bully and who protects them?
Sun gets bullied often due to his gentle nature and Gladion protects him.
Thoughts aabout Gladion and Sun having kids one day
It would take a while for Gladion to be comfortable with the thought of having children, he's worried that heâll end up like Lusamine. Once heâs comfortable with the idea however, they would consider adopting. They do try raising a baby Pokemon together first, just so Gladionâs more comfortable.
However Gladion is still on the mindset that their Silvallyâs count as their children as well.
7: Which one constantly wears the otherâs clothes?
Sun has âborrowedâ Gladionâs hoodie on multiple occasions. Gladion finds it quite cute to see, and wished Sun would let him see him in it more.
14: Which one keeps accidentally using the otherâs last name instead of their own?
Gladion when heâs tired and filling out forums. Thankfully Wicke checks them in order to make sure theyâre filled in correctly. Since sheâs picked up on his habit, she checks his signature specifically.
It was a gradual process, they both had begun spending a lot of time together. Gladion realized it first and it hit him quite hard when trying to go to bed. It took a lot of encouragement from Hau and Lillie to actually say something. He struggled to deal with the new emotions and was close to trying and suppressing them until Lillie found out.
Turns out, Hau was aware Sun liked Gladion as well and pushed them both to confess. When they met, Sun shoved a piece of paper into Gladionâs chest and ran away in embarrassment. He wrote his confession down, and theyâve been together ever since (although it took a group effort to find Sun turns out heâs better at hide and seek than they thought)
