but what are your thoughts on the Auditor mind controlling Sanford in some kind of way? Or him having negative effects (like being more aggressive/easily startled) after the last MC animation? When the auditor was trying to override/corrupt him. I think that kind of dynamic explored with sanmos would be really cool and also a little devastating to the pair (</3 they have gone through a lot)

Oh hi! Sorry I'm replying a little late, I haven't gotten any asks in a while :D

I actually loved that part with Audi trying to override Sanford's will in MC12. Felt like Sanford got a little more fleshed out, with his "one that doesn't ever die" bit. Now it feels he has some value to the enemy, and isn't just seen as an obstacle to destroy. The relationship got a little more complicated. But I also wonder why Auditor never tried to corrupt Hank or Deimos this way, did he just not get the chance to? (or there's probably a lore explanation that I missed)

I think it's such a neat little addition to canon that has a lot of whumpy angsty potential for fanwork :D Three broad ideas I can think of:

- Sanford is on the run/in hiding, he is hunted after because AAHW wants to convert him into a weapon for their needs;

- Sanford gets partially corrupted, serves AAHW, but does regain some control and is fighting it;

- Sanford gets corrupted fully, distress is experienced solely on Deimos's side

For short fanwork, I'd go with the last one, because the first two need a little more setup. But personally, I enjoy the potential of the first scenario the most. But I guess that needs setup, and time to draw it...

I think if there's any chance of getting them to walk back this change, we all need to go to https://tumblr.com/support and complain directly.

I truly would be sad if this shit goes through like it objectively makes the site worse and people are going to stop using tumblr.
