Allāh has placed the world beneath your feet, why then do you carry it on your back?

The sea didn’t claim the life of baby Musā despite him being thrown inside when he was at his weakest, whereas the very same sea claimed the life of the Pharaoh despite him crossing it when he was at his very strongest.

Whoever is with Allāh, his weakness will not harm him, and whoever is distant from Allāh, his strength will not benefit him.

Expecting the best from Allāh is a secret ingredient to happiness.

So…

فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

‘What then is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?’

– Qur’ān | 37:87

Pay attention to the conversation between the two stories in Surah Maryam; the Word of God is intentional. Surah Maryam presents the same “problem” from two perspectives. Zachariyyah questions because his wife is barren; Maryam questions because she is chaste. Yet, the result is the same, regardless of their shock, because this world runs of “Be and It Is” (kun fa ya kuun).

Despite whatever our perspective may be, it is Allah swt Who alleviates our worldly worries.

The One who rewards you when you do good even though you barely think of Him.The One who forgives you even though you barely ask of Him.The One who eases the pain in your heart when you are hurt or sadden even though His Name comes last to your mind.The One who fills the emptiness you feel when you feel very alone even though He never leaves you alone.The One who guides you in everything you do even though you stray away from His path.The One who provides and gives you the successes in life even though you fail to thank Him for each one of them.He is Allah, the One who has been with you all your life but you fail to recognize each passing day.
