Normally walking the streets at night were an anxiety event, having to watch every corner in the darkness, take notes of people passing, ect. Even in village towns there was always some incident happening in the night, some frat house incident or missing girl from a party. Always happened,.. Still this night always felt different. It was ironic how the night of monsters, undead and masked people always felt the safest. Because of this she had taken a little longer then she had promised Stella - a normal walk would take 10 minutes but this one took about 20. ‘She’s gonna kill me,’ Ava thought as she looked around the area. It was hard to tell who was who thanks to the costumes,.. She knew what Stella was wearing but it was still hard to look past the crowd. It wasn’t until she heard Stella’s laughter in the crowd did she see her. The woman was always beautiful but tonight she was stunning. 

“Hey hun,” She said as she walked up to her, sneaking in a quick kiss on the cheek before eyeing her custom up close. The hat on top added to the costume, making Ava swear she was the cutest thing walking on this planet.  “ A sailor huh? Well not sure you would survive the sea in this but I would definitely join any boat with it.” Ava joked as she took both of Stella’s hands, holding them in a apologetic motion. “I’m sorry for being late, this night always get me.”

The campus was huge and the area that involved the frat and sorority homes was massive. She immediately left her best friend at one frat party to go to the main party where she was meeting her girlfriend, Ava. She didn't even realize the woman was late, as she occupied herself with chatting up with fellow nursing students. She laughed at a joke, only to turn when she heard the voice of an angel. "Ava." she smiled only to lean in a kiss her cheek back just as Ava kissed hers. When the woman spoke about her sailor outfit, she laughed "Its ironic isn't it? I don't do well on boats and yet here I am dressed as this." she mused, gesturing to her outfit. Stella waved her hand, shaking her head "Don't apologize love, it's halloween and it's crazy crowded practically everywhere." she squeezed her hand as Ava had taken hers a moment ago. "Are you my knight in shinning armor tonight?" she teased lightly as she gestured to the modern warfare costume she was wearing. "I'm surprised you didn't need help getting it on." she giggled.
