Nasi Goreng Biasa Mudah Tapi Sedap
Bahan-bahan:
Nasi putih (baru dimasak, sejuk sedikit & agak keras)
3 ulas bawang merah
2 ulas bawang putih
2 biji cili merah (boleh tambah jika suka pedas)
Sedikit belacan (anggaran sebesar ibu jari)
Kisar semua bahan ini halus – ini jadi bahan tumis utama
Isi ayam/udang/ikan bilis – digoreng atau tumis seketika
1 biji telur – buat scrambled dahulu, asingkan
Sayur kobis atau apa-apa sayur kegemaran (dipotong halus)
Garam secukup rasa
Sedikit Aji-no-moto (jika suka)
Daun ketumbar (dihiris untuk taburan akhir)
Cara-cara:
Tumis bahan kisar:
Panaskan minyak dalam kuali. Tumis bahan kisar (bawang merah, bawang putih, cili & belacan) hingga naik bau dan pecah minyak.
Masukkan isi ayam/udang/ikan bilis:
Masukkan bahan protein pilihan anda. Tumis sehingga masak dan garing sedikit.
Masukkan sayur:
Tambahkan sayur seperti kobis. Gaul rata hingga layu.
Masukkan nasi:
Masukkan nasi dan gaul rata supaya semua bahan sebati. Gunakan api besar supaya nasi tak lembik.
Perasakan:
Masukkan garam dan sedikit Aji-no-moto mengikut citarasa anda.
Tambah telur:
Masukkan telur yang telah digoreng scrambled tadi. Gaul bersama nasi.
Siap & Hidang:
Angkat dan hidang panas-panas. Taburkan daun ketumbar di atas sebagai penyeri dan penambah aroma.
Tip Tambahan:
Gunakan nasi semalam yang telah disimpan di peti sejuk untuk hasil yang lebih baik – kurang lembik dan senang digoreng.
Boleh tambah kicap jika suka rasa sedikit manis dan gelap.

Simple Yet Delicious Fried Rice
Ingredients:
White rice (freshly cooked, slightly cooled and firm)
3 shallots
2 cloves garlic
2 red chilies (add more if you like it spicy)
A small piece of shrimp paste (about thumb-sized)
Blend all the above into a smooth paste – this is the main stir-fry base
Chicken pieces / prawns / anchovies – pre-fried or sautéed
1 egg – scrambled separately
Cabbage or any preferred vegetables (thinly sliced)
Salt to taste
A bit of MSG (optional)
Chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
Sauté the blended paste:
Heat oil in a wok. Sauté the blended ingredients (shallots, garlic, chilies & shrimp paste) until fragrant and the oil separates.
Add your protein:
Add your choice of chicken, prawns, or anchovies. Stir-fry until cooked and slightly crispy.
Add vegetables:
Toss in the vegetables like cabbage. Stir until slightly wilted.
Add the rice:
Add the rice and mix thoroughly so everything combines well. Use high heat to keep the rice from getting soggy.
Season:
Add salt and a bit of MSG (if using) to taste.
Add scrambled egg:
Mix in the previously scrambled egg. Stir to combine with the rice.
Serve:
Plate up while hot and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on top for flavor and presentation.
Extra Tips:
Using overnight rice from the fridge works even better – it’s firmer and easier to stir-fry.
You can add a bit of soy sauce if you like a slightly sweet and darker version.

Ingredients:
5 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp ovalette
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup oil
Vanilla essence
2 cups all-purpose flour
Cake coloring (optional)
Instructions:
Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
Add ovalette and continue beating.
Add sweetened condensed milk, vanilla essence, and oil.
Lastly, add the baking powder and flour. Mix well. Color the cake as desired.
Bake the cake at 170-180°C until fully cooked.

Bahan-bahan:
1 ekor ayam (dipotong kecil)
5-6 ulas bawang merah (dikisar halus)
3-4 ulas bawang putih (dikisar halus)
Sedikit halia (dikisar halus)
1/2 mangkuk cili kering kisar (boleh diganti dengan cili api)
1/2 mangkuk santan pekat
Sedikit kerisek (kelapa parut yang disangrai)
Gula merah/gula melaka secukup rasa
Serbuk kunyit secukup rasa
Daun kunyit (atau daun jeruk/limau purut, racik halus)
Garam secukup rasa
Cara Penyediaan:
Sediakan rempah: Kisar halus bawang merah, bawang putih, dan halia. Ketepikan.
Tumis rempah: Panaskan sedikit minyak dalam kuali. Tumis rempah kisar hingga harum dan naik bau.
Masukkan ayam: Masukkan ayam yang telah dipotong. Gaul rata sehingga ayam sebati dengan rempah.
Tambah santan dan cili: Tuangkan santan pekat bersama cili kering kisar (atau cili api) dan gaul rata. Masukkan serbuk kunyit untuk memberi warna dan rasa.
Masak perlahan: Biarkan rendang dimasak dengan api perlahan sehingga ayam empuk dan kuah pekat. Tambahkan kerisek untuk menambah rasa dan tekstur.
Perasakan: Masukkan gula merah/gula melaka, garam, dan daun kunyit yang telah diracik halus. Sesuaikan rasa mengikut citarasa.
Sedia untuk dihidang: Biarkan rendang mendidih perlahan-lahan hingga kuah menjadi pekat. Hidangkan panas-panas dengan nasi putih.

1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
5-6 shallots, finely blended
3-4 garlic cloves, finely blended
A small piece of ginger, finely blended
1/2 bowl dried chili paste (can substitute with fresh bird’s eye chilies)
1/2 bowl thick coconut milk
A little bit of kerisek (toasted grated coconut)
Palm sugar (gula melaka)
Turmeric powder
Fresh turmeric leaves (optional: or substitute with kaffir lime leaves), finely sliced
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the spice paste: In a blender, combine shallots, garlic, ginger, and dried chilies. Blend them into a smooth paste.
Cook the paste: Heat a little oil in a large pot. Add the blended paste and stir-fry until fragrant and the oil separates.
Add chicken: Add the chicken pieces into the pot. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated with the spice paste.
Add coconut milk and simmer: Pour in the coconut milk, add a pinch of turmeric powder, and some salt to taste. Stir and bring to a boil.
Add sweetener: Add the palm sugar and mix well.
Add kerisek and leaves: Once the chicken is tender, add the toasted coconut (kerisek) and finely sliced turmeric leaves (or kaffir lime leaves). Stir and let the rendang simmer until it thickens.
Season: Adjust salt and sweetness as needed.
Serve: Once the gravy is thick and the chicken is fully cooked, serve your delicious chicken rendang with rice.
