the  eye  roll  he  gave  in  response  was  almost  an  inevitability  when  working  with  harley ,  but  you  can't  say  he  didn't  at  least  try  to  hold  back. that  didn't  stop  him  from  sending  a  silent  curse  out  to  bruce  for  somehow  orchestrating  this  team  up  in  the  first  place.  whatever ,  they  had  more  important  things  to  worry  about.  another  annoyed   huff  made  it's  way  out  of  tim  against  his  better  judgement.

his  dismissiveness  hit  like  a  syringe  to  the  heart  (  a  dagger  would  be  just  ridiculously  dramatic  ).    gloved  hand  flew  instinctively  to  her  core,  as  though  it  could  shield  her  from  the  sting.    rude !      “  well,  there’s  gotta  be  a  good  reason  th’  old  man  slapped  us  together.  ”    words  squished  beneath  a  heavy  pout.    “  teams  are  s’posed  to  work,  not  snuff  each  other’s  sparkle,  in  case  y’  didn’t  know !  ”    she  can  roll  her  eyes  too,  &  the  sigh  that  followed  deflated  her  ruffled  chest.    she  got  it,  alright ?    even  if  he  hated  it.    it  meant  finding  common  ground  &  knowing  how  to  blend. 

&  blend  she  would.    to  prove  dedication,  she  reached  up  &  tugged  off  the  black  /  red  cowl.  the  bells  at  its  ends  gave  a  soft  jingle  as  it  was  tucked  under  a  nearby  bush.  then,  warning  flashed  in  her  narrowed  stare.    “  i’m  gonna  become  insufferable  if  summin’  happens  to  her—  she’s  my  favorite one.  ”

just  as  quickly,  the  fire  in  her  expression  gave  way  to  wide - eyed  wonder  as  she,  along him,  inspected  the  building.    head  tilted,  blonde  locks  now  spilling  like  liquid  over  her  shoulders.    “  is  this  a  crawl - through - the - ducts  type’a  gig ?  hope  not,  i  kinda  hate  those.  ‘s  nothing  but  butt  cramps  ‘n  dust  up  ‘cher  nose.  seriously,  thee  sad  salad  of  sneaky  hustles.  ”
